ADOPTABLES!
Greetings from the world of fairytales! If you have peeked into this blog of mine, more than likely you are curious as to what this little thread is all about.
Well. There comes a time once in a while when life gets in the way. Muses die. Writing partners no longer click. Or patience has run out. Or someone simply vanishes never to be seen again.
When that happens, the little stories begun in the ripe of their life become abandoned. Lonely and sad, tossed away to the void to be forgotten.
Except. Eva feels guilty for forgetting. For leaving these little stories and their characters to be sad and alone.
So. I am now compiling here a list of all my roleplays which have been abandoned and wanting to continue, thus making them available to be picked up by a writing partner who feels confident in picking up where the former partner left off, or even taking it in a new direction.
Note 1: I am mostly doing this because I am a little exhausted of starting one of my ideas, it being abandoned just a little bit into the roleplay, only to restart with someone else for the process to continue. I would like to get farther into the idea than 5 posts. If any further details are required for a person to get into the roleplay, I can provide the notes from conversations. Or you can decide to offer your own take!
Note 2: If you are the particular partner with whom I've had a roleplay on this list and would be interested in continuing this, then by all means talk to me. I am open and friendly darlings, I am not going to get mad or berate you for anything. I will be honest, but I will be kind.
Note 3: This list may be updated at any time to remove a returning active roleplay to my Active Roleplay Blog, or to put new ones no longer active into this one. So check back every month or so if you are interested!
Note 4: I do require that anyone who adopts a roleplay be able to uphold to or be better than the literacy set by the former writing partner.
Note 5: I expect partners who will engage, further the story, have their own ideas and twists even if it is drastically different than what was there before.
Without further ado, in no particular order, here is the list of Roleplays with Eva the Fairytale Maiden open for Adoption!
- The Singing Sleuth
1932. After the grisly murder of her eldest brother while on the beat, a young Irish woman quits her lawfirm position to pursue the family business of joining the rank and file of New York's finest police officers. Intent on finding her brother's killer, the young sleuth stumbles backwards into a job offer from an Italian mob boss -a former marine with a heady temper - on the other side of town near where her brother was found murdered - a job as a lounge singer for his underground speakeasy. Jumping at the chance to work undercover and get justice for her brother, the young Irish woman portrays herself as a charming lady to the boss, in spite of the racial and cultural divides of the day, and the great dangers to her should her new employer find out she's a copper. Will he find out? Will he use her for inside information to continue her protection or will he kill her? Will she be able to find her brother's killer? Will she turn on the mob boss? Is he involved somehow? Or is something more sinister and crooked going on in the department? Amid all of this mystery, will something passionate spark between the two souls?
- The Wistful Waltz A Tail of Land and Sea
A paladin firbolg rescues a mermaid imprisoned in a traveling circus. Literally as far as we got.
- A Dragon's Heart
A traveling dragon slayer finds himself hired to rid part of the kingdom of a dragon scourge, however, when he enters the forest it is said to reside, all he finds is a beautiful maiden. Immediately suspicious, he forces her to admit that she is infact a dragon, but not the same who has attacked the land. It is a male dragon who has forced her to turn into a human in punishment for her efforts in protecting the humans and refusing him as a mate. The dragoness and knight then team up, on a quest to stay ahead of the other dragon-slayers, find a way to turn her back and defeat the other dragon.
- Into the Fire an Orcish Legend
In the lands of Skyrim, a lone orc warrior after the death of his clan seeks his honorable end in impossible battles. However. He just. Keeps. Winning. His latest mission, after ending an entire hoard of bandits, is infiltrate Folgunther and the Lord Stone and kill a dragon who has kidnapped a princess to the tower and bring her back to her distant cousin for marriage. He doesn't expect to survive. However... there seems to be more to the story of Lady Valera Ursine from the Jarls of Windhelm's Bear Clan. The maiden dressed in foraged rags and armed to the teeth, unable to get passed the draugr which guard the tombs before they wake up again, stronger than before. She has been there a while... and has been expecting the man who rescues her to be her husband. Rather eager to escape, flirtatious and happy to see another living being, the two navigate their way together through the tombs, fighting a rebirthed dragon before escaping - that's where it was left off. Valera is a strong Nord woman, but it doesn't stop her from flirting and fawning over the orc who saved her.
- Beauty and the Northern Beast
A half-elf princess from the southern lands oversees a tournament among suitors for her hand. Amongst them is a great northern viking king. Upon first meeting, the two have an instant connection and chemistry to each other's company. Despite other lords attempts of cheating, he emerges the tournament... for he carries a great secret. Those of his house are Ulfhednar, or werewolves. A fact he keeps from his bride. After many hours of celebrations, culture rites, and the wedding, the couple is happily united. But there are uncertainties on the horizon. Such as her estranged elven family members showing up to the wedding, an attempt to kidnap her by a losing suitor (who happens to be a monster hunter) now banished, how she will take the news of her new husband's blood lineage.
- Neverending
Ever have one of those days where you sit down to play one of those pre-written romance stories on your phone where the dialogue and outcomes change based on your actions, but then you actually get sucked into the world, a viking world no less, running for your life through a castle as an entire army tries to capture you only to end up in the arms of Mr Tall-Dark-And-Handsome the leader of the army itself? Yeah, it's just one of those days...

- Curse of Beauty
Fate weaves together the lives of two souls who couldn't be more different. A man of the Highlands cursed with horrid disfigurement to reflect his bad temperament claims right of the land's law to take a laird's daughter as his bride after saving his life many years prior. Accepting that the honor of her family must be upheld, the young woman agrees to be his wedded, not yet knowing his hideous appearance, only that his reputation as The Demon of the Highlands precedes him. Even exposed to his cursed self, the man is bound and determined for this to be his chance to break his curse, no matter if he must lie to the young woman about the horrid secrets of his past to get her to fall in love with him. But can he charm her to see beyond his ugliness? Can he learn to temper his anger at women long enough to seduce her to say three measly little words? Will she continue holding fear of him? Will the haunted walls of his castle reveal the truth of his past and scare her away, or even to exacting revenge? Will she find it in her heart to forgive the beast, allow him into her heart and her bed?
- Bride for a Rose
A beauty and the beast tale, a cursed knight returning home from another venture finds rare compassion and kindness from the innkeeper's beautiful sweet daughter. The two have a genuine fondness for one another, the beast stepping in when the human knight her father wants to betroth her to takes entirely too many liberties with her. Unable to leave her in danger, the cursed knight flees with the lovely maiden after her intended fiance poisons her with a paralytic, with plans to kill the cursed knight in front of her then claim her. A start to a truly beautiful tale where the beast is mistaken for the villain because of his looks.
- A Debt to be Paid
A beauty and the beast story where a young woman narrowly avoids being taken in by tax collectors to pay her knightly elder father's debts when the beastly orc hermit blacksmith who forged the weapons for him steps forward and pays off the debt... in exchange the woman has pledged her servitude to his house until the debt is paid. Now, in the early dawn, she awaits in the inn for the strange looking orc to collect her for their journey to his home.
