Ten was her worst year. Her father had gotten a job working as a clothes store manager and a bartender while he mom worked double shifts at her office. When she entered the bedroom to see if either parent was home, she found her father hanging by the ceiling. She dialed 911 but it was too late.
The years that followed were hard, but Luna learned to work past what she'd seen with a counselor. That counselor was the very person who inspired her to go to college in psychology.
At the age of twenty-two, Luna graduated with a master's in psychology and a minor in writing. That had to have been the proudest day of her life. To this day she still has a picture of her mother and her at her graduation sitting on her dresser.

In that documentary, there was footage from the war that included people shooting guns at each other and bombs going off. Ever since then, Ethan has always associated thunder with the sounds of war/being under attack and lightning with the sparks that come out of guns as a bullet is shot and the sparks that come after a bomb has exploded.
‣ When faced with a storm that is severe, Ethan will go into a panic attack. His breathing will get shallow, he'll get extremely pale, his heart rate will go up, and he'll start shaking immensely. If the storm is a smaller one, he has an easier time coping with it. Usually his breathing will only speed up when this happens.

‣ When he does fail, he will do whatever it was over and over again until he does it right. Sometimes when this happens, he won't eat or sleep until he's attained perfection with whatever he failed at.

‣ The reason he has PTSD is because he and his father had a rocky relationship when he was younger; they still do. His father was always pushing him to be better and when he wasn't good enough, he often got swatted on the hand or back with a belt. Ethan's mother would try to stop it, but to no avail. His relationship with his dad became worse later when he came out to his parents. That's when on top of the physical abuse, the verbal abuse started. He was cursed out every day, his father telling him that he "wasn't good enough," and that he was a "disgusting, useless fag." These events have scarred him and will most likely never heal completely.

Jonathan spent his childhood in a small suburban area outside of New York. At the age of ten, he received a set of daggers from his father. Only at that time did his father tell him that he wasn't fully human, that he was something his friends and family would fear: A demon. He didn't have a chance to process it, immediately getting thrown into lessons to fight, use his power against his opponent, and how to feel virtually nothing.
At the age of 13, all hell broke loose in Jonathan's life. Demons have a code: Don't love. Those who do will pay the ultimate price. That ultimate price was to murder that person. His father as the leader had to deal with those consequences.
Lucifer felt that since Jonathan loved his mother as well, he should have to watch. He could do nothing as a knife sunk into his mother's chest and neck 8 times. The one thing that stuck with him the most was the way his father had laughed as he'd done it.
Jonathan did his best to forget those events by getting serious in his studies as he went into high school. That was the year he met Kiko. She was the one person who understood him, the one person he felt he could totally trust. And his father had to take it all away from him by doing the same thing to Kiko that be did to his mother. After those events he vowed never to fall for anyone again.
He graduated high school with extremely good grades but decided against college, desperately wanting to get away from his father as soon as possible, and moved to a suburb out of state where he opened his own coffee shop.
