Greetings and salutations, one and all.
Traveling the vastness of the internet, surfing the proverbial ocean that is the web, I find myself washed upon the shores of this site.
I am called Stahlt, plain, and simple.
Now that we have established who I am by name, perhaps we shall dive into the why I am here, and what, I in turn, am looking for, yes?. Good.
Role play, to be plain, and of course clear.
Therein lay the problem, I have been around long enough to have seen near every style, type and growth / stagnation of RP in and of itself. We are adults here, at least I hope so, thus I will make the expectations clear. If you lose interest, cannot go on, for whatever reason, let me know, do not simply vanish as I will afford you, and others the same courtesy.
I am looking for more into the heavily descriptive and in depth. Long term for preference sake but short term can be fine for somethings, tests for example.
Fantasy, medieval, are the genre I stick to mostly, but often drift into science-fiction and the likes of post-apocalyptic settings.
I avoid, cannon fandoms and worlds pre-created like that of George.R.Martin and his works, Song of Ice and Fire. Tolkien, and most of the Lord of the Rings series. The list travels onward because, I tend to create my own characters and worlds. If you have an idea, by all means come to me with that idea and we shall see what comes of it. I am looking to role play, not play a script of a per-exsisting character or fantasy, tis rather sad that I have to say as much.
With that out of the way; if you are curious about talking with me, fire a PM. I don't bite, unless asked to, and politely at that. For those, whom have made it this far, congratulations I am also a near twenty year veteran of Dungeons and Dragons. Now that, I have said as much, please keep in mind the above. Worlds pre-created are wonderful to dive into, but worlds and universes that many desire to play in and define themselves in, have rules and information the other, being myself, may not be so brushed up on. If we are looking at loose basis, the answer is maybe, but I more often than not will NEVER play with a cannon character. Doesn't mean I will not, but if I am aware of it, most of the time still applies.
Still reading? my my, well finally I shall say this much. I like realism, grit and tough situations, drama and a story that grabs you, pulls you in and never lets go. I am a die hard romantic, so romance is a thing in most of my stories. Keep in mind, I said romance, and mean it, that slow build to the explosive fire within one's chest. Furthermore, I am a sucker for those that can hold their own with a good thick diabolical plot. Good old end of the world ploy?, sure. Lunatic on the throne?, have at thee!. You get my meanings; if you want a sample of my writing, you'll have to ask me for it.
Finally, and in closing, I will say this. If it is painfully clear you haven't read -any- of the above, we aren't going to get along.
Thank you one and all, for your time. I look forward to hearing from all of you.
