Two straight guys, diminutive in size, too androgynous (or even effeminate) to be "taken seriously".
For whatever reason (open for discussion) they successfully disguise themselves as female. (I'm thinking maybe they're on the run from the law, or the mob, or maybe just trying to keep the bullies away.)
This is to be done in an historical setting. How far back we go is open for discussion - I'm leaning toward the 1950's or the Old West as seen on millions of television Westerns from the 1960's.

Variations on the idea:
One of the male characters (yours) is secretly gay or bisexual.
While both straight they develop "feelings" for one another they need to deal with.
Your character is female and helps (or requires) mine to pass.
Going back even further in history - recently I've developed an interest in 17th Century Europe - The Three Musketeers, English Civil War, or Colonial America.
Realistic OR with a touch of fantasy (A Witch Hunt could be interesting either way.)
Slice of life OR get involved in some political intrigue.

So there's the quick down and dirty. No waxing eloquent about how long I've been writing (since elementary school, if you must know), or percentage of smut (people actually keep statistics?), or how many words I "require" you to write or whether or not you have my permission to ghost me (would that really do any good?) Just let me know if you're interested in the basic premise and then we can discuss the other stuff as we work out the details.
