To keep a long story short; Lan was raised by his mother with his older brother Keen until tragedy struck early in his life. Around the age of 15, Lan found himself in the city of Gwendol where he chose to begin a new life. He intended to pick up a few odd jobs while hunting for further information on the god Asoldus, of whom he worshipped. However Lan very quickly got involved with the wrong people and wound up aiding in a 'delivery pickup' that turned out to be quite a thoroughly planned robbery. Lan faced trial for his involvement in this crime and found the jury to be surprisingly forgiving. They seemed to understand Lan's place in the situation as an accident, however accident or not a crime still needed paying. Gwendol officials decided to lend Lan to the Witches Tower, where he would train as a guard and serve a witch for a few years. Most men sent to the witches tower were hardened criminals that were beat into obedience; Lan was a special case. That was until the witch he was designed to serve tried to kill him. Though instead, she lost control of her flames and burned herself alive. Every witch of note witnessed this, and still they allowed the blame to fall on Lan. His temporary stay at the witches tower turned to ten long years as he trained to guard a witch he was sure he would never actually meet. Ten long years, and he finally met Aneria.​ TRIVIA . Lan actually loves music and singing. He has quite a lovely singing voice. Lan loves string instruments, especially the violin. Lan has a soft spot for Rheas and really anyone that seems unsure of themselves. Despite his unmoving demeanor, Lan is quite anxious around other witches. He's surprisingly dense when it comes to himself. Jokes often go over his head as well. Lan secretly enjoys when Aneria scolds him. Caster is from a family of high ranking Magus - Powerful magic users that can weave magic into the weapons they wield. However hard he tried, Caster could never access the power his family instructed.
So he continued his training, and became a very competent marksman to make up for the lack of magic he held.
It was enough for him - but not his family.

Where can you run into him?
Any forest is a good start. Caster typically travels by a single horse cart, with his hunting dog and whatever meats, hides, and bones he can make a profit from.
On the main roads, he keeps his horse on cart. However when traveling deeper into the woods, he will unstrap his horse and ride it bareback along the smaller paths.
