Greetings Folks,
I'm not sure how important the prefix is but when some of my friends started to form their kingdom they bestowed the role of jester upon me, so I figured I'll embrace it. Unfortunately, most of my humor is through delivery and tone, so I am handicapped through type, but hopefully, if I find a roleplay partner here we'll have our moments.
Real life me
Hobbies that I would guess are more common: love hanging with my pets, reading, writing, watching TV. While these hobbies might not be active currently, they are things I expect I will pick back up eventually when the mood strikes. I am an amateur pianist, crocheter, and line dancer. I've enjoyed learning about different cultures and traveling. Some of the languages I've dabbled in learning are American Sign Language (intermediate) and Spanish (beginner).
Online
I tend to be quiet and a lurker on sites. I've been scanning for roleplay sites, and after snooping around at the Inner Sanctum I think its goals will line up well with my own. I like the friendly more intimate vibes I get while also being an adult only site, but also not solely focused on NSFW. I like collaborative writing in roleplays and chatting with partners OOC. I don't think I've ever had a truly successful roleplay without good OOC interactions. As I've gotten older and the roleplay culture on sites I have been on has changed and I have changed, I get overwhelmed by group roleplays and prefer only having to negotiate with one player.
I like having roleplays with 500-1000+ words per post or 5+ paragraphs, but I've gotten more chill. I need to know that we've both put in enough effort that I put some thought into it, but not such long responses that I procrastinate and become forgetful and uninspired, so that is what I use word counts for. I also love OOC chatter to keep me excited, reminded, and inspired, but if we don't talk a lot outside of the roleplay that is okay.
My favorite genre to write is fantasy because I like having the flexibility to not be the most accurate and to make things up. I generally shy away from modern settings, but still open to slice-of-life. My roleplays tend to have some sort of expectation of romance but not a requirement. I love being able to write scenes that make me and my partner feel something. I've been told a few times I write good angry scenes, but that isn't my favorite emotion to write.
There are a lot of things I could say, but I think I've thought about this too hard and written too little, so I shall wrap it up here. I hope to get to write with some of y'all soon and meet more!
Feel free to reach out for whatever,
~Rosencrantz
