Titles with '★' are new.
Titles with '!' are what I'm interested in.
• You can call me Grim, though anything works, really. As long as it isn't offensive, obviously.
• Typically my characters are versatile/switches, sometimes sub.
• 300-600+ words on average. Sometimes more and never less. I try my best to match my partner.
• I'm fine with both story-focused and smut-focused RPs!
- Please let me know if it's going to be smut-focused beforehand.
• Replies every other day. My ADHD makes my motivation a little inconsistent sometimes, but I do my best. If you're concerned, just let me know and we can talk a bit about it.
• Third-person perspective. I don't do second or first-person.
• I heavily prefer non-IRL faceclaims. I can work with descriptions too, though I sometimes struggle with finer details like nose-shape, eye-shape, etc.

• Versatile or dom characters would be nice. As long as they're not strictly sub.
• Usually, replies aren't a huge deal but, at least once every few days or so would be nice. If you're going to take longer, let me know! I'm understanding and if you can only reply once a week or something, that's okay. Again, just let me know ahead of time if you can!
• Third-person perspective.
• General OOC kindness, of course.

The sanctum; a place known for its mystic landscape and powerful creatures. Many folks from the rather average-looking 'common realm' had striven for many years to live in such a place but never seemed to be able to. It appeared to be a peaceful place so what was the issue?
Gods and many other massive beasts roam the corners of the sanctum. They aren't fond of weak humans invading their land. In fact, the land itself seems to be hostile to any newcomers. Adventurers would travel a bit too far from the quiet spaces of the sanctum and would pay gravely for their mistake.
Eventually, a temple was built around the portal to keep people out. Guards wander the halls of the structure and, theoretically, it's impossible to enter the sanctum without strict permission.
Who would that stop though? Not Y/C, as he is pretty hellbent on entering the forbidden realm. Perhaps he's merely curious or perhaps he wants to try and brave the lands that none other has managed to. Whatever the reason, he'll either get in or die trying.
M/C, on the other hand, has lived by the portal inside the sanctum for some time. A shifter of unknown origins, he keeps an eye on the portal day after day to see if any brave souls would enter. Years seem to pass in silence until one fateful night the portal becomes active.
After the two meet the only thing to do is venture into the strange land together. The odds that they'll live is at least better that way, right?

Ah, the Ascended. Angelic beings who are powerful, smart, and perfect. They pride themselves on their perfection. Some, however, are not as perfect as they once seemed. See, to Ascended things such as sympathy are foreign. They feel no pity toward the humans below them, nor do they feel regret when they wipe out entire camps of them. However, those who cannot be - or refuse to be - perfect are banished to earth to be with the other imperfect creatures. From the day they're banished, they are dubbed 'Fallen'. Many look down on the Fallen as they tend to be hostile and bitter. They are outcasted to the edges of society. Treated as cruel, vile monsters just as the Ascended are, despite the sympathy most Fallen have shown to humans.
On occasion, however, they're allowed in as low ranks in various armies across the land, either out of desperation or otherwise. Armies are formed to keep the continent safe, of course. Plenty of nasty things linger in Vrilone; dragons, oddball monsters, beautiful beasts sent from the Ascended themselves. The Fallen are often used as pawns, bait to scout out the lands and find dangers. Rarely do they rank up, even when their human peers do. Sometimes they're allowed to be 'true' soldiers, but seldom more than that. They're not to be trusted, after all, they're a former enemy, no?
MC is a recent member of the Fallen. Once a commander above the clouds, he now walks the earth on his own. He manages to join one of the smaller armies and, of course, is seen as most Fallen are. A stubborn, irritable, untrustworthy creature. He knows plenty about the Ascended though and the beasts they send to earth. If nothing else, he's a valuable weapon to the army he now serves.
YC is one of the first to have joined the village's army. Wanting to leave home for personal reasons and help defend other villages in the nearby land. YC has never really seen a Fallen for himself, however. He'd only been told stories of them and what they were like, but being in the same army as one is definitely new. He grows interested in the imperfect being and, despite being hissed at more than once, wants to know what makes such creatures imperfect in the first place. Perhaps his curiosity will actually get him somewhere...
