Welcome to my group request thread. If you come looking for focus on the four elements, saving the world, and having other planets and universes, you've stopped at the right place. Join the Guardians of the Veil roleplay for our own take of the show/comics W.i.t.c.h. but we design the whole universe, planets, and characters. The source is merely an inspiration, so long as you Google the premise overall you're safe. Or just dig into lore and get the intel there! Here are a few ground rules before we begin discussing details to this plot. Keep in mind, until there are enough people to cover each guardian, that this is an interest check.
➛ There'll be a Discord for OOC chatter, but the roleplay will be hosted here on the Sanctum. Alternatively, I am willing to make a thread here or use Fluxer in place of Discord if the need arises. At this time, I will invite you to the Discord once you have an approved sheet. Please do not publicly mention your Discord, so we can all follow the rules here appropriately.
➛ No doing most things forbidden typically such as: player killing, godmodding, controlling someone else's character, etc. Self explanatory I think. All characters are important roles and mains, and all voices have a right to be heard. Anything huge should be discussed and plotted with the respective roleplayer.
➛ Treat people how you want to be treated, plain and simple. Respect your roleplay partners. No offensive comments or breaking the Sanctum's terms. No drama please, save it for roleplay scenes not each other.
➛ Roleplay replies don't have a number of word limit, but replies should be detailed and in third person. One liners will make it hard to keep this roleplay going.
➛ Let us know if life throws crap at you, so we are in the know! Communication is key, and real life always comes first.
➛ Do not steal other people's ideas from them, put their OCs into an AI somewhere, or use AI art for your characters. This extends to replies to the roleplay as well. I get getting assistance with grammar, but full on copy/pasting is just so . . . just don't do it. Enough said. As for face claims, this makes our safest bet real celebrities, actresses, models, etc. I just find that perfect for this setting, and it makes it easy to find gifs and images of celebrities that are already real. You can also just describe how your character looks instead as well, so pretty open aside from my anti-AI-generated image rule. It's just a personal preference as an artsy human.
➛ Romance is not the focus, but it will be allowed in the roleplay if chosen for your characters. Just keep it to Sanctum rules and I would prefer no smut in the main thread.
➛ Have a little patience with me as this is my first time GMing, and I struggle with social cues. However, do not be afraid to headcannon, share Pinterest boards and playlists, or simply chatter with me. Iffy on an idea, check in with me, but it'll likely be alright! =^.^=

It's 2026 and Tavrian's elders have chosen the next five guardians from one/multiple planets to protect the world, entire universe, from those who seek power for reasons that would harm others. Tavrian and the portals are all that stand between the part of the universe shrouded in evil and the 'real world' as most know it today. If it falls, so too does Earth. Some of the chosen Guardians of the Veil hail from Earth, and are newly in denial or shock at powers; while those from the planets in direct danger would not find it as jarring since magic is more known aside from Earth, at least usually. The next five are chosen, and all are twenty or older this time. The elders learned from their prior mistakes after an unfortunate accident to a prior guardian. Now it's each respective Guardian's first day with their powers, and some are in for a shock.
➛ Tavrian: The world directly between the two realms, or better called a direct barrier between Earth and all other planets thought to be myth. The Oracle and the elders council reside in this realm, and it's the realm the guardians are meant to keep evil from as it's the last stand. Think of it as an overarching planet that acts as a barrier in some fashion.
➛ New Age Requirement: All guardians are above twenty years old, leaving legroom for adults to be chosen. No restriction on gender, sexuality, or neurodivergence. All is allowed, just keep the character made above twenty please.
➛ Guardians of the Veil and Transformation: Over a century ago, Tavrian made it so transformations are no longer needed to reach full power, though it does still henge on teamwork, meaning all combat is done in normal attire. That means if a chosen guardian is in heels, she is fighting in them. However, they can summon green, translucent wings and fly on a whim which might help a plight. Chosen guardian afraid of heights? Might need to face that fear, lovely.
➛ Heart of Tavrian & Explaining the Leader: This closes portals to the other planets, but it doesn't open them. It is silver with a glowing white gem, hanging on a silver chain. Despite being centuries old in Earth time, it doesn't look rusted or worn out, thanks to magic. The Quintessence, means spirit of the group in this case, Guardian is the carrier, and this person usually is leader of the group. Like the other guardians, the user has the same access to wings, and only the carrier of the heart can unite and bring all five members to full power. When united all five guardians are at their strongest, and when they're apart, they are only so strong. Additionally, a lot of the Quintessence magic bares similarity to Illusions: duplicating oneself, energy blasts, phantom pains, so on.
➛ This is still in early development, so I expect we will create the universe as a group rather than me deciding literally everything. I want us to work as a group to form a good story with a rich plot. I've basically laid out the ground work here, and this is a fantasy universe on other planets so take it as you will. I want everyone to be able to let their creative hearts shine here.

Here are roles we need, with the group being higher priority. Unlike this roleplays animated show and comic inspiration, all characters made can be any gender, background (including making up your own planet if you so desire), sexuality, so on. Bring your creativity and make a stellar being. My only ask is we use real world face claims, so we can avoid AI art and such entirely. I will make one Guardian myself, which will be whatever element is remaining after the other four are made. No real rules on how many characters, but only make as many non-NPCs that you can handle to actively roleplay. All NPCs also have no cap, as I want the world to feel four dimensional.
