Salutations!
I'm Feather, 25, F, CO/USA annnnnd I miss writing/roleplaying! I'm asexual myself but not sex-repulsed and have enjoyed reading/writing smut (for characters all across the gender spectrum) in the past. Not sure what I'm looking for now, and I love that this place is 18+ but not inherently sexual (non-NSFW rp is welcome from the looks of it)!
I started forum roleplay when I was... 12? Runescape RP forums baby! I've not done active forum roleplay in a LONG time, but I've played D&D with a group of friends in a few campaigns over the last few years. I love all kinds of roleplay, from forums to tabletop to Minecraft (hahaha I wishIwerekiddingbutI'mADDICTEDtowatchingstreamers/youtubers...suchasDSMP/Aphmau/AchievementHunter...). Because of this, I've got experience with and have enjoyed partaking in many types of rp writing styles in the past, from...
"She stumbled into the room, doe-like eyes wide with curiosity. A gentle smile grew on her face as she cleared her throat. 'H-hi! It's nice to meet you!'"
...to...
"*stumbles in room* *smiles* H-hi! It's nice to meet you! ((idk what I'm doing lmao))"
...depending on my partner/pace of story/etc! (That said, I have a strong preference for the former style and longer paragraphs written in the third person - although I can do first person - with proper grammar and a fair amount of description. Not a wall of text for every post, a sentence is enough if that's all that's needed at the time, but a variety of sentence lengths is good... you get me?)
My full-time job is working as a caption editor for a major cable network. I can absolutely maintain proper grammar/spelling/punctuation in a written conversation, considering that's my whole job!
Annnnd... I grew up on the internet and use acronyms and type casually-yet-hopefully-understandably for OOC conversations... as evidenced by the awkward, inconsistent usage of emojis and slang :3 (but I never use in-character emojis or acronyms haha).
I do work a lot of hours, and have been HORRIBLE about slow replies and ghosting... I am trying very hard to be better about this this year, but if it happens I do sincerely apologize in advance! You have been warned though. If it happens, it's not you- it's me. I have a lot of bad anxiety too which means I'll likely overthink every reply, which can make conversation take longer... again, sorry.
Anywho. Y'all seem like a pretty neat community annnnd hopefully I can write together with some of you!! Not tonight though. It's 2am and I have work tomorrow haha. May edit this up later if I hate it in the morning! Or not! Who knows! Good night!
