Thanks everyone for having me. My name is Nihls, I love a good story and I like interacting with others as the story moves, I think that's why we're all are here. Cue the background commercial track.

On a more personal note, I'm pretty experimental with my writing and I always try to find new ways to challenge myself, in practice I keep just enough of tried and true formulas while adding my own twists on top.

I tend to include quite a bit of words in my posts, including aspects of the surroundings, small gestures and such details, which is definitely not for everybody, but it's the way I normally operate. I put effort into character arcs, not ever character has to start a Judas and end a Jesus, but the organic growth of a character in response to their experience is really satisfying in my experience. I can have fun planning and doing worldbuilding, but I'm convinced that good interaction between the players is the meat of a good role-play, some back and forth rhythm, either through the dialogue or the actions of the characters.

I'm not a fan of slice of life, it can be nice, but it'll invariably grow stale pretty quickly if it doesn't involve some sort of plot development, especially in the long run. I'm always open to new ideas, but like any other sane person, I enjoy having some healthy doses of fantasy, horror and sci-fi tropes injected directly into my bloodstream.

Well, that's about it, despite being so adamant in my belief that written play pretend is serious business, I'm capable of proper human speech, no need to fear me. I also love black metal and pointless arguments.

Welcome to, what I lovingly refer to as 'the mad house'. We have a wide range of writers ranging from proffessionals to casual but enthusiastic amateurs and everything in between. There is a little bit of everything here although the leaning is definitely towards the noir. Although that's not to say there is no fluff, there is, you may have to look a little harder for it.
