Hello all, my name is John, and I'm 29. I've been roleplaying for about fifteen years on and off, but I'm new to this site. It's been several years since I last did an rp so forgive me if I'm a little rusty.

In real life I mostly work, work out, play crappy early 2000s video games and read. I also regularly go bouldering with a couple friends who are really into it, though I'm still very much a beginner.

As far as rp, I prefer 1x1 mxm roleplays and have pretty varied interests. My plot-heavy rps are typically 500-1200 words per post and tend to involve a lot of planning and worldbuilding, while my less vanilla ones are usually faster paced and closer to 200-600. My reply rate is a bit on the slower side between work, family, and other engagements.

Some of my current interests include Fallout 3 (with ocs), cyberpunk, post-apocalyptic, modern fantasy, and westerns. I also have some one-shot ideas mostly set in regular modern day.

Second! I bet you're wondering how to start Role Playing and where to go! I think it's pretty fun to explore the forums, and I highly recommend doing so! Most thread homes, if not all, have a pinned post at the top of them to tell you what goes there! However, the Request Threads are pretty self explanatory; Here's a Link! There's plenty to look through, but you could also build your very own! Tell people what you're all about and get those writing partners! Take your time though; there's never any pressure!
