I'm River, I haven't written in a very long time and wanted to reconnect with that! I was a forum roleplayer in middle and high school, and as the years have gone by I've noticed its absence. I play a lot of video games of all kinds, and absolutely love all genres of fiction. Like most warmblooded earth-dwelling humans I mostly want deep characters with rich and grounded portrayals. I tend to prefer the genre to play the role of the setting, serving to define the themes that motivate change in the characters, like Robert Kirkman and G.R.R.M. Not that they have a monopoly on powerful and deep characterization, those are just the examples that come to mind for me. I tend to over-explain everything because I'm deathly afraid of miscommunications, and honestly I think that the expected pace of forum correspondence is slow enough that careful consideration of phrasing and long-winded responses are much more normal so it suits me well LOL.

As far as video games I play, some of my favourites are Wild ARMs, Castlevania, Fable, Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Dark Souls, VtM: Bloodlines, Final Fantasy, Fallout 1-2, Diablo, nearly all fighting games – but I tend to play online/competitive games most of the time just to spend time with my friends, like Dead by Daylight, League of Legends, Hunt: Showdown, random coop roguelikes – I'm interested in a bunch of stuff from all eras of game development, I just love games. I love music too! This is one of my favourite songs of all time.

I don't want to go on way too long, but I appreciate the warm reception I had in the chat yesterday! I'm excited to poke my head around and get to know people and find my niche. I hope to write with you soon!

Excuse the intrusion, well, looks likes you shouldn't have to many problems finding others who's tastes align with your own.

I am sure you are eager if not already well on your way to settling in..

So I offer you these,

READ the rules. There really isn't that many to make it worth skipping them for an 60 seconds of time .As there a couple there, that differ to alot of other sites and they sometimes trip ppl up.

Have a little look through the Requests thread, to see what ppl expect to find in a RT ....
Then go wild making your own. Remember its just as important to say what you , do NOT WANT , as waxing lyrical about your passions.

When searching for partner , take the time to search at least 3 pages deep on the Requests thread because the bump rate keeps things moving with a quickness.


Last of all HAVE FUN and enjoy, this is THE most important thing to remember.


Oh and maybe come and visit the bunch of miscreants that reside in chat....they are a very welcoming lot.
