Hi all, my name's EclecticFaces, feel free to call me any derivative of that.

25F, long time roleplayer. Mostly hang around on reddit and use discord as a writing platform, but taking the time to expand and try out new forums and platforms, such as this one.

Here's a quick spiel about my writing:

• I write in 3rd person POV
• My posts tend to be in the 2-6 paragraph range, sometimes longer if its a scene opener or a time skip
• I'm comfortable writing as both men and women in roleplays
• I write roleplays with erotic content; strictly SFW writing is something I do on my own time
• With erotic content, I only write cis/het pairings, as I am cis/het. However, I'm happy to play either the male or female side
• I'm comfortable writing as multiple characters as/when needed for the story

I mainly write in modern settings, but I also will write in some historical time periods and some sci-fi periods. I tend to avoid pretty direct rips of existing universes, e.g Star Trek inspired is chill but Star Trek itself is not, on account of the fact that I'm not much of a lore goblin and don't want to take the time to learn the setting in depth. To that end, I also don't really write fandom.

Genres of interest:

• Slice of Life - with good tension and drama and intrigue. I push for very deep characterization and depth and dimension to our characters. Slice of life, in my opinion, is not one plot thread, but instead a thousand tiny ones that we rapidly jump between. Just like us, our characters have half a dozen things they're working on, and that breathes in the fun of it
• Action - conflict is good and fun and sometimes that conflict is with your fists and weapons. I don't like "mafia" in the traditional sense but I do like "mafia" in the sense that both our characters are part of the mob in an active duty sense not a damsel in distress way
• Marital tales. I like taking an established married couple and throwing wrenches at them. I think the most common form of this I see online is some kind of cucking story (which, hey, no harm no foul, they're tons of fun). But I think slipping in a secret gambling addiction leading to financial ruin can be fun to see our characters through
• Various ethical-non-monogamy setups and guises
• Smut. Sometimes modern settings are just a backdrop for fun smut and that's fine with me

You might notice a lack of Romance on the list. I tend to shove "romance" under characterization, to try and encourage making characters that would actually reasonably like one another. That being said, Romance is not explicitly necessary for prompts I write (although I figure like 90% of stories I write will have romance anyways)

Smut interests/kinks I tend to share during discussion of a prompt - I like to figure out a story we both like, and then we can talk about other kinks we think fit, so that we're not morphing the story just to hit a checklist of kinks we share.

Second! I bet you're wondering how to start Role Playing and where to go! I think it's pretty fun to explore the forums, and I highly recommend doing so! Most thread homes, if not all, have a pinned post at the top of them to tell you what goes there!

However, the Request Threads are pretty self explanatory; Here's a Link! There's plenty to look through, but you could also build your very own! Tell people what you're all about and get those writing partners! Take your time though; there's never any pressure!
