Hi everyone! My name is MountainLaurels, but you can call me Laurel! I am pretty much brand new to role-playing beyond a few D&D sessions so I am not quite sure what I am doing yet. If anyone has any recommendations on where to start, that would be awesome! I'm not quite sure of my writing style yet for RP, but I have been writing for years prior and thought this would be a new awesome way to express that! I love fantasy, sci-fi, really anything! Excited to get started : )

Hello Laurel, Welcome to I.S. I think it's great that you've decided to try this out and see how it all works. Writing is a fantastic way to express yourself and your ideas. I would recommend that you read some stories as everyone is a little different. Find a style and format that works for you and then go from there. It's what I did when I joined, I spent a lot of time just reading and still do. Some people prefer short quick responses, others medium or midlength and some prefer long book-like responses. You'll just need to see what works for you. I wish you the best and hope you have fun. Happy writing.
