MxF High Fantasy and/or Supernatural, anyone?

Hey there!

My name is Cath!

What do I write?

• I like high fantasy (elves and dragons and magic), and the supernatural (vampires/werewolves/angels/demons). I love sci-fi, but I haven't yet tried writing any yet. Maybe that will change?

• I like to experience the full spectrum of emotion in my roleplay. I like it when things are sweet and fluffy and I like when things are dark and traumatizing. I like a balance of the two... With a whole lot of story and character growth in between. I don't have anything that's really 'off-limits' in that regard. It's all spice, right? I just don't want my face to burn off because it's ALL spice.

• I'm very plot/character driven. I do enjoy romance in a story but allow a story and characters to determine when and if that's possible. It's the same with smut. I'm more into writing it when there's a point or reason to it... I don't want to write out every single sexual encounter. There'd be no room/time for the plot! The all mighty plot!

• My characters tend to be female more than 80% of the time but I do enjoy creating male secondary characters. I'm comfortable writing one character or many. They (my characters) come in all sorts. Some sweet, some violent, some cunning... some boring and some fun.

• I write third person POV. Past tense.

• My posts tend to be 1-2 paragraphs in general. Sometimes they're longer and sometimes, in instances of heavy dialogue, they're shorter. I try to incorporate some level of description outside of action/reaction where possible and I'm looking for someone who does the same. I also want my roleplay partners to feel comfortable writing NPCs or interacting with the RP setting without needing blatant direction.

I, unfortunately, can never guarantee my availability. I work full time and have various other adulting things that eat up my day. I do try to post at least once a day (and sometimes I even get a few hours for some delicious back and forth!) but sometimes, life happens and my posts will slow. I will try to communicate these instances with my future partner(s). OOC talk is a must. I like talking about plot, characters and scene ideas. It makes it more fun!

Present Muses

• A paladin with an odd sort of moral compass. Has both a sweet tooth and a penchant for violence. On the wrong side of some very bad people. Terrible social skills and an arrogance that could choke a room.

• CLASSIC high fantasy. D&D/MMORPG style. Without the set lore and game mechanics.

• An angel with ambition who bites off more than she can chew and either ends up in trouble... or in need of help.

• Can either be set historically, in modern times, or even slightly into the future. Gritty.

• A pirate captain who ends up falling hard for a skinny priest. One with a moral compass that points straight north. He has a noble quest. She has adventures at sea.

• This is the only muse that has a specific romantic 'type'/pairing.
• Could either be high fantasy or low fantasy. I'm open to steampunk aspects.

• A young witch who lives with, and cares for, her unwell mother a ways outside of a small, mountain town. Her garden, since her brother disappeared (blamed on the pack of werewolves living in the surrounding woods), grows thick with wolfsbane.

• Medieval- Renaissance era. Weres, vampires and a looming, powerful church.

Many, many more... and I am always willing to build/mold characters to suit the desired story.
