Closed High Fantasy Mayhem?

Okay, so I'll write it in Poe's Corner. That way it'll give us wiggle room.

Nah....wait...yeah...probably. I think the long run on sentences would at least earn us a backhand from him.

yup defiantly

If we're taking one more person, I am interested in taking on one game.

You are more than welcome to come aboard. I have the starting post pretty much done, but keep getting pulled away by irl stuff.

I have been watching my niece for my older sister since last week so currently I have two wild toddlers constantly waging war over little thing at the moment. For example if one looks at the other and says, "Mine," and all hell breaks loose.

o_O

If nap time happens and I can proofread it. It'll be up today.

I can't wait for Friday...
Thank you all for baring with me.

I just wanted to check in and ensure I wasn't putting together a character sheet for nothing. I will work on that today.

Naaruk

wirg_bunegrynder_by_angevere_db323k6-fullview.jpg

Name: Naaruk

Nickname: Gutgrinder

Age: 27

Gender: Male

Orientation: Bisexual

Race: Half-Orc

Homeland: Merrowvale

Class: Seeker

Sub-Class: Sorceror

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral.

Level
10

Height: 6'3"

Weight: 225 lbs

Abilities:
Exploit Openings - Seeker (Open Up/Outmaneuver)
Metamagic - Sorceror (Heightened/Empowered/Subtle Spell)
Improvisation - Seeker

Weakness:
As a Seeker, magic is utilitarian at best to Naaruk. He is capable of buff magics, but very few combat spells are part of his arsenal.
Naaruk's personal goals are more important to him than the party's well-being. As long as their strength aids his goals, he will follow and assist, but only if he believes he is gaining something from the union.
Half-Orc blood tends to irritate easily, and when something stands to halt his progress towards his goals, Naaruk will "remove" that obstacle as necessary.

Personal Items and Weapons:
1 - Warclub carved from the bone of a large beast
1 - Hunting horn
1 - Set of dice
1 - Water skin
1 - 50 foot length of rope
1 - Set of general bed supplies

Appearance:
Naaruk is a large Half-Orc by comparison, raised specifically due to his size. He is bald by choice, frequently trimming what hair attempts to grow. He has a scar down the right side of his face, a close call from his days as a gladiator. When Naaruk reaches into his soul to cast magic, his left eye turns golden for the duration. Two small white tusks protrude from his lower lip, a clearer sign of his Half-Orc blood. His skin is a light forest green.

Oddities: Naaruk has a difficult time understanding idioms or things of that nature. He speaks directly without unecessary interpretation. He also enjoys nature, often taking time to observe local flora and fauna.

Personality: Naaruk is observant. He takes in his surroundings to form the most optimal plan before acting. A careful skillset of combat and survival have made him untrusting and quick to react to potential threats. Despite this, he is not unfriendly, but distant. Willing to make bonds with those who may benefit his end goals, he doesn't waste time with people that do not serve a purpose.

Bio Naaruk, like many, doesn't really recall what happened before...whatever caused him to forget. However, he had a few trinkets to give him some hints. His club was forged from bone, likely something he had killed. He had a piece of paper declaring his freedom, naming him "Gutgrinder". A spark of memory, perhaps, that he had previously been captured by a slave ring and forced into gladiator rings. Apparently he had done well enough to be given freedom. He employed his skills in battle as a freelance mercenary for quite a while, earning gold to keep food in his belly and a roof over his head. Wanting more than to be a sellsword, he turned his extra gold towards books. Through studious learning, he awakened a small bead of magic within himself. He considered himself a Seeker, but now he could also be a Sorceror. There was more to learn, and he'd find a way to learn it.

Likes:
Nature
The pursuit of knowledge and the arcane
Winning through surrender

Dislikes:
Indecision
Poor food
Abuse of power towards those who cannot stand for themselves

Fears: There are not a lot of fears that jump to Naaruk's mind. Failure is one, or perhaps the inability to complete his goals due to circumstances he can't control.

Always been a fan, super good race in D&D, so I'm partial to using them in other places too.

Here my lil bubalahs!
It's shite but it's up!! I wanted to add more oomph but honestly I'm beat and can only think up like ten words before either Baby shark or the Mickey Mouse song start to flood my brain...So I'll fix any weird typo things tomorrow during nap time.

Please copy and paste your character sheets in a spoiler at the end of you first posts, that way I threadmark them for easy reference if needed. Have fun, please feel free to torture the npcs or add more, but please get your people all cozy in the inn and we'll throw the first quest at them.

One thing that might be good to clear up is a posting order or length of time to wait between posts, just so we don't drown people who aren't on as often.

You are correct!

Okay so writing order will go in the order as you post for these initial posts. As for length, I'm not a stickler. As long as it is at least two descriptive paragraphs I'm good. That way if anyone is newer they can still participate. If you can't post within 3 days, let us know and we can wait or skip if desired.

Same goes for tapping out. Life happens obvisiously. *waves* So, we can kill of your character if you don't want to continue or have them blackout if you are going to be gone for an extended time but may want to comeback.

Does that sound reasonable?

No complaints from me.

I would suggest closing the thread down then to prevent additional people from wandering in.
