This is the base solo I originally wrote and beneath I will highlight how I want to turn it into a doubling story.
The pitch I originally wrote as a solo:
MC is a late bloomer magic user just enrolled at a university for the supernatural, she finds herself being mercilessly picked on and abused by the more advanced mage students. Being from a prominent mage family and her magic manifesting so late, she's considered by society to something of an embarrassment to her family.
A friend of hers, the only one she has, tells her to go talk to YC, who is not only a vampire, but the strongest vampire in attendance at the university, he commands great respect from the student body and no one dares to mess with him. As a bonus? While he is strict and intimidating, he hates bullies, her friend suggests he might help her.
She seeks out YC and pleads with him to get the arrogant advanced mages to leave her alone… YC is intrigued by her, he can sense potent and powerful untapped magic bubbling beneath the surface and it doesn’t hurt that she’s quite beautiful.
He proposes a bargain. She agrees to be his girlfriend for the year and he’ll not only make the mage bullies buzz off, he’ll spoil her like crazy.
Though taken aback by the deal, MC figures that he didn’t attach any inappropriate conditions on the terms and it’s just for the year, so she agrees. Little does she know that year is a trial period to see if he might want more of her.

My ideas for doubling:
It might be best if you decide your character's background and etc, but I wouldn't be opposed to her being a relative of mine. Perhaps one that never treated her as less and encouraged her to have hope regarding her magic ability manifesting.
As for the guy I could play for you, I have some potential ideas.
Vampire- The brother and/or right hand man of your male character. His excellence would fall just shy of your male character by like a hair. Making them almost equal, but your male character eeks on past by a just a smidge into the number 1 spot. This guy would be quite dominant and domineering, charismatic and perhaps he might have a sprinkle of yandere in there.
Only your male character has any kind of authority over him that he won't just mockingly brush off.
Fey- President of the Gardening Club and would be a yandere, though he hides it well in the face of the public. He would have the 'Prince Charming' reputation around the universities student body.
