Heya howdy, call me Phantom! Nice to meet y'all!

I've been honing my writing craft since about 2004, even to the point of (unsuccessfully) going to college for creative writing (I had to drop out for health reasons and have been struggling to go back ever since, oop.) I have a dream of publishing a fiction novel someday, but in order to do that, I have to actually finish a dang story for once! Unfortunately, I've been pretty on-and-off with my writing due to a combination of housing insecurity and health issues, but even with all of that, I've noticed that having a cowriter always seems to help in the inspiration and motivation departments, and I've had past RPs exceed 50k words plenty of times (until adult schedules would get the better of us both, at least,) while writing on my own usually nets me about 20~30k words before I burn out on a project.
My favorite genres to write in are adventure, fantasy, mystery, cozy/slice-of-life, comedy, and horror, especially if any of the above can be combined. I especially prefer to write stories with a magical/supernatural/paranormal element to them, because that is just more fun to me. I enjoy creating dynamic and vibrant worlds with lots of side characters to populate them, even if they only get used/referenced once. To borrow some terminology from some writing workshops, I consider myself a "plantser" or someone who enjoys a combination of planning and "pantsing" (flying by the seat of your pants) when it comes to writing plot developments and story beats. If you think something you want to write is iffy, you're welcome to run it by me first, and I'll do the same for you! My goal is to write a story together that feels fun, engaging, and satisfying for everyone involved. I'm also happy to send writing samples to see if our styles would vibe well.
Unfortunately, I'm not particularly big on stories with a lot of hot-and-heavy scenes, as I'm ace, but I'm not opposed to general romance/attraction between OCs. However, I'm happy to write any gender of character, any gender pairing, groups, and I'm pretty comfortable writing non-human and human-adjacent characters as well.

Second! I bet you're wondering how to start Role Playing and where to go! I think it's pretty fun to explore the forums, and I highly recommend doing so! Most thread homes, if not all, have a pinned post at the top of them to tell you what goes there!

However, the Request Threads are pretty self explanatory; Here's a Link! There's plenty to look through, but you could also build your very own! Tell people what you're all about and get those writing partners! Take your time though; there's never any pressure!
