hey there, i go by salem. i'm thirty-one, prefer male pronouns and from los angeles. i've been writing and roleplaying for over thirteen years, and it's easily one of my favorite hobbies. honestly the only one i'm most consistent with.

i mostly write dark fantasy, paranormal (yes, i'm unapologetically obsessed with vampires and werewolves), gritty/urban slice-of-life, post-apoc, scifi, and just about anything with a good romance. i love building detailed worlds, creating complex and flawed characters, and diving into lore. my lore occasionally has religious undertones or draws heavily from greek and roman mythology.

i'm generally a multi-paragraph writer, though my post length tends to match my partner's. i'm happy to write with people of any experience level—i don't think i'm anything particularly special, i just genuinely enjoy collaborative storytelling.

i haven't roleplayed in about six months, so i'm still shaking the dust off, but i'm excited to get back into it and meet some new writing partners. i'll eventually put together a proper request thread that goes into my preferences in more detail.

Second! I bet you're wondering how to start Role Playing and where to go! I think it's pretty fun to explore the forums, and I highly recommend doing so! Most thread homes, if not all, have a pinned post at the top of them to tell you what goes there!

However, the Request Threads are pretty self explanatory; Here's a Link! There's plenty to look through, but you could also build your very own! Tell people what you're all about and get those writing partners! Take your time though; there's never any pressure!
