Who the Hell are you, and what are you on about?
I hear you asking (possibly paraphrasing; no, I won't like you more if it isn't, put your pants on). I am Thorn, but you can call me by any name or title that tickles you! I have been collaborative writing off and on since I was but a wee thing. What it means to me has changed drastically each time I come back to it. What does it mean this time 'round the sun? Well...
I want to have...a conversation. About you. About me. About perspective. About unaddressed oceans of emotion at the end of forgotten lanes.
All of the best stories have many other meanings beyond what is most obviously woven in. This is often by implication only in any form of art. I want to be absolutely candid about it while maintaining the illusion and creating memorable worlds and characters. Expect occult metaphors and observations that seem pertinent to real world events aplenty. My focus is not the upmost layer of the cake we are to bake (no lies), but what it all represents.
I am an open book merely requesting the opportunity and privilege of reading you.

Mayhaps it is...however! My pieces are all in their proper places, and there they shall ever remain. Blind me with your brightest light, disturb me with your darkest darkness, and I will do my best to match the energy every step of the way. With this, all the while I will be slaying my dragons for your amusement and understanding. (Don't worry. We've been pals for awhile now. The king's dead.)
Down to the nitty gritty...
I'd wager that I am one of the most worrisomely agreeable partners one could have the (mis?)fortune of stumbling across. I'll step into any skin, in any setting, with any level and flavor of lewd if the betwixt the lines details intrigue me. While I'm aware this may sound exciting (and nebulous), I do have yums and yucks. I'm here for lots of things, but being a unicorn to get rocks off in style isn't among them! Nor will I craft ugliness without redemptive meaning for its own sake. This being said, OOC communication is incredibly important to me. We don't have to be besties, but I need to get a feel for what sort of fellow Flame I might be cooking with.
While I may want to dance with everyone that comes my way, I do not have all of the time in the world for this singular creative outlet. I try to force myself to be picky. If I haven't frightened you away yet, here are a few basic blurbs:
- In the great white Norf of the US, CST.
- Work nights.
- Write in 3rd person perspective, always.
- Quality of words over quantity.
- Highly emotive style, flavored with musings.
- Posting speed is very variable, but I do check in.
- Prefer to sew threads from the ground up, with characters tailored specifically for them.
- Narrative control is always mutual. I just genuinely want to engage and make something beautiful backed by real feels.
A few of my favorite things
Neat little packages tied up with string are lovely, but I adore a hot mess too. We'll arrive where we want to be in the story precisely when we mean to.
I enjoy plotting and yip-yapping just as much as getting actual writing done. (I know, I know. It's not a problem, though. Most of the time.)
Music is tied heavily to how I vibe in writing, and I share inspirations often. If you give me music that's inspiring enough for you to want to write a thread and can elaborate on it, say no more, family.
Unorthodox perspectives and high contrast pairings.
