What if you were offered a way to live forever... but you had to choose it and IT had to choose you? What if there was a way for all with a will to live symbiotically inside a single form? What... if...

"Please..." the young boy pleaded. "Please dad... don't shoot him! He doesn't want to die!"
"Son... I'm sorry," the father said with a doleful tone. "That car was flying by at sixty when he hit Fang... not even a wolf can live through that."
"But look at his eyes," the young boy said, mourning the loss of his pet... his best friend. "He's not ready to die."
The father, of course, could tell the animal was bleeding on the inside and even if they could get him to a vet in time there was no way he would live. He cringed, pulled his screaming son away, aimed the gun, and put the wolf out of it's misery.
"NO!" the heartfelt cry echoed through the valley as the young boy rushed to his friend's side and held his head in his lap, a drop of blood sliding down the wolf's fang and dripping on the boy's finger... and at that the dead body vanished.
The boy gasped but immediately realized what had happened. "Fang" as the boy had affectionately named the pet wolf had not died after all... he could feel the wolf inside of him. Suddenly he knew the things a wolf knew, felt the things a wolf felt, heard the things a wolf heard... his mind and the mind of his friend living symbiotically together in a single form. The wolf wasn't ready to die, and the boy didn't want him to... and at the touch of blood something in this young boy enabled him to absorb the life force of the creature.
The boy's father had turned away and missed the entire thing. The boy glanced back to the house, he saw no one. His boyish form transformed instantly into that of a majestic gray wolf and he sulked off into the trees. "If it works on wolves... thought the boy as he stalked a house cat... maybe it will work on anything that lives." He pounced....

This is the setting for the RP I would like to try if anyone is interested. It is a little different than anything I have done before but it sounded like fun when the idea came to me.
Only certain people are born with this strange ability (Your character can be with or without the ability) to absorb the life force of other living beings. If the dying life is not ready to go, and the "grave robber" doesn't want to let them die, a touch of their blood and their life force will be assimilated. Everything they know and can do the grave robber will now posses.
This young boy, now hidden from the world by government cover ups, was the first... but a few more have emerged and with these and their companions we can build our story.
PLEASE NOTE: Although I would prefer this be in a fantasy setting this can be set it virtually ANY setting. Modern day, scifi, fantasy, or even in a fandom of choice. It's the concept I am presenting as an RP idea more than anything else. If anyone like the concept we can build a setting, plot and world as we desire or simply choose a setting and free form the plot.
My expectations: I would like someone who is really into the idea, not just "Eh, sure... lets give it a try."
I also want you to be imaginative... given this skill set you could literally be or do anything! Some world building will likely be involved unless we decide on a fandom. So creativity is key!
I would like a single player or just a few who will be on regularly and post daily. (multiple times per day would be great but I realize not everyone can do that)
I like action, plot, plot twists, etc... I appreciate some romance in an RP but unless it really turns out "just right" I can't see it being the main focus. I use Fade to Black and for personal characters only do MxF simply because I am not comfortable playing anything else. I could try playing the female character but even that would be new to me.
I can write multiple paragraphs but typically my Rp style lends itself to a 2 paragraph post or so. Simply because I tend to RP a lot of interaction between characters and sometimes I find it counter productive to continue until I have a response from the other player(s)
So... if anyone takes a fancy to this idea, let me know!
