GEOGRAPHY Ineru is the largest continent on Konístra, covering an expanse of 8.204 million mi². North of Vroiya and the easternmost continent on the map, Ineru is divided into two massive regions and a singular independent territory: the Cold North, the Great South, and the Esoteric East. Home to two stunning regional capitals, the Looking Glass organization and the infamous Caelestis Academy. ⠀⠀TOPOGRAPHY In the southern region, grasslands, forests, and hills provide a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere, making it one of the most densely populated regions on the continent. The north primarily consists of icy rivers, snowy banks dotted with dark pine trees, and cliffs overlooking the Northern Tides. The northeastern lands are dense with thick, untamed forests, bitter mountain chains, and treacherous peaks that penetrate the clouds. ⠀⠀SCENERY ► Cities — There are two regional capitals, patrolled by city guards, gleaming with tall spires, and horse-drawn coaches rumbling over stone brick streets. Various cities and villages reside all around the continent, with farmers, fishers, and miners, each within their respective areas of the land. Children play dice games in narrow alleyways, shopkeeps yell out their deals of the day, and adventuring parties travel through looking for work. ► Mountains — Posing as an intimidating challenge, the Bloodmage Peaks is the tallest mountain range in the world. Donned with unnaturally challenging slopes, drastic changes in atmospheric pressure and temperature, and victim to numerous arcane storms. Strange creatures, powerful mages, and desperate miners call this range home, its only saving grace being that the tallest peaks pierce the heavens, allowing a spectacular sight of the vibrant, magical aurorae above the sempiternal cloud cover. ► Blackpool —The biggest body of freshwater on the continent. The area is flush with greenery, flowers, and animals during the warmer months. Amidst birdsong and the distant call of elk, the scent of the autumn crocus, chamomile, russian sage, and leopard's bane cloys at your nose. CLIMATE
In the north,

To the south, grasslands, forests, and hills provide a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere, which in turn has made it one of the most densely populated regions on the continent. While the region still experiences the harsh winters native to Ineru, it is not to such an extent that makes it nearly uninhabitable like elsewhere on the continent. An incredibly rare sight in Ineru, it is also notable that the Great South is the only place the sun seems to occasionally shine through the grey clouds and frequent blankets of cool fog.

The north-eastern lands, where Eiselhelm is nestled in the heights of the Bloodmage Peaks, one finds the antithesis of warmth and hospitality. The area is dense with thick, untamed forests and bitter mountain chains, shrouded in an icy fog and nested in banks of snow that do not melt. The savage wilds of the Esoteric East are considered some of the most dangerous in the world, filled will all manner of beasts, unnaturally dreadful winters, and the occasional, violent magical storm. These harsh conditions have made the northeast unfit for living, spare for the hardiest of people, and a rare select few mages.

LOCALES ⠀⠀CITIES ✪ Walden — The capital of the Cold North. ✪ Waekefield — The capital of the Great South. ✿ Eiselhelm — The capital of the Esoteric East. Tucked within the freezing peaks of the tallest mountains in the world is the last stronghold of magic users in Ineru with a mere population of 427. The independent territory is home to Caelestis Academy, the Looking Glass organization, and an impressive mining operation for Raduganite. The rare, arcane stone is what brings Eiselhelm the majority of its wealth. Very few outsiders visit this quaint city, and those that make the journey are typically looking for mining work or to attend Caelestis Academy. ❖ Roseport — With a road directly to the northern capital, Roseport is the busiest port in Ineru with a population of roughly 96,370. With artisans attracted by the potential and demand for expansion, the city is continuously growing, remaining a thriving hub for commerce, enterprise, and work. Aside from its impressive economy and busy docks, Roseport is known for having a renowned cuisine, the longest stretch of markets in the north, and a very diverse, welcoming community. ❖ Port Westfair — Once a humble fishing village, the city has grown over the decades due to its home trade secrets. The thriving city is now responsible for a great portion of Ineru's fishing economy. A strange rumor surrounds the city, thought to be the home of numerous merfolk that disguise themselves as land-dwelling mortals, living and working amongst normal folk.
