This Game Idea is loosely inspired by a couple TV shows, in particular The Last Ship and MASH.
I'm looking for a group of perhaps 4 or 5 players to join me. If there's more interest than that, then someone or several someones will have to step up and offer to help moderate and move the story along. Even with only the 4 or 5 players if someone is interested in helping lead the story and moderate it, please say so, any help would be wonderful. Also, the background and nature of the ship is up for discussion. I'm inviting players who are interested in helping 'world-Build' with me to please offer suggestions, comments and criticisms. And yes of course, smut is welcome! Anyway, here goes....
BACKGROUND:
The Year is 2049… After 3 decades of new cold wars, pandemics, terrorist attacks, border wars, the world has grown into a cold and dangerous place. The UN, which most nations had believed had become obsolete, had become little more than a token enterprise. Nations began pulling out as they sought to increase their own resource access, bypassing international rules and regulations while causing conflict among their neighbours. The world came to the brink of nuclear war as the more powerful nations began to resort to bully tactics and of course what had become known as the Climate Crisis was ignored further, and seen as the lesser of the world's troubles.
As the years went on even NATO had become weaker as several member states started to pull out for various reasons. The Middle East became a tinderbox with conflict raging in almost every country. The usual agitator countries continued to work against the natural flow of peace. Amidst all this, natural disasters and environmental events, the result of Climate Change manifested themselves. Drought, wildfires, hurricanes and cyclones, tornadoes, earthquakes and tsunamis became more frequent.
The now near powerless UN began talks with what remained of NATO, which remained the largest deterrent to outright war. After a few years of discussions the two world bodies merged into one, and for the first time in a long time the UN had teeth. Many felt that the more powerful Western Countries were the puppet masters that guided UN policies, but it didn't matter. With NATO backing it many of the nations that had left were beginning to return. The UN grew in power until it became significant once again.
It was in 2045 that the UN, in an effort to win public opinion in non-member states it decided to create a multinational civilian force to render medical and social support to war-torn and disaster ravaged nations. The UN purchased the US Hospital Ship Mercy, which had become obsolete and was to be decommissioned and mothballed. Over the next few years the ship was heavily modified and modernized with the latest state of the art equipment. The ship now became known as the UNNC (United Nations Naval Command) Mercy. In late 2048 she was finally commissioned and sent on her first missions. Just in time, as the word was about to fall into chaos.
In February of 2049 something happened. No one can say for certain what it was, but it started with the tremors. For over a week the world was covered with small tremors in every continent. Then the big ones hit; one in the Atlantic ocean, of in the Pacific, close to the west coast of the US and a third, on the Canadian side of the Arctic Circle. Following these quakes came the tsunamis that wiped out many of the coastal communities along many of the world's coasts. The Arctic shelves began to break apart, causing the world's oceans to rise, adding to the strife.
Following these disasters came the raids by modern day bandits and pirates, followed by diseases and everything else that could go wrong did. Electrical grids around the world went down, hydroelectric dams busted, many nuclear reactors had meltdowns. Things like simple communications failed, fuel refineries were no longer functional. Governments tried to maintain command and control likes but in most cases it was impossible. Chaos reigned around the world as rogue nations took advantage of the situation to advance their own goals, as many of these nations had suffered surprisingly less from the series of natural disasters.
It is in this condition that the UNNC Mercy stands as a beacon of hope for those in need…
The UNNC Mercy
Mercy is a Hospital Ship designed and constructed in the USA before being turned over to the United Nations, where it was refitted and heavily modified. It's the first of its kind and its mission is to provide relief at various hot spots around the world, whether it be from military conflicts, natural disasters or epidemics, the vessel is constantly at sea providing assistance to the world's nations.
The vessel is crewed and staffed by a coalition of people from member nations from all across the globe. These brave men and women work long hours in trying conditions and at times at great risks to themselves to help those in need. The vessel boasts a very large Medical Team, an Operations Team, the DART Team (Disaster Assistance Response Team), a small Combat Security Team and a Command Crew. The ship is operated mostly by Civilian specialist with a number of military personal mixed in.
The Mercy is about 900ft in length and it's powered by a small nuclear reactor, allowing it to operate for years without refueling. It has 2 helicopter support vehicles. The craft also carries a number of military vehicles and constructions/demolitions equipment.

Looking for players to take on the roles of Mercy's crew or staff. Pretty much all roles are available, examples are given below. Please note, all characters should be normal humans. This story should be about normal humans perform extraordinary tasks.
Medical Staff: Doctors, Specialists (psychiatrist, OBGYN, Orthopedic, etc…), Nurse's or other Medical Staff
Operations Team: Flight Team, Ship's Crew (Sailors, engineers, cooks, etc…)
Dart Team: Construction Trades, Demolition Experts, Engineers, Survivalists, etc…
Combat Security Team: Made up of all Military Personnel, Army Infantry, Marines (no spec forces or force recon, or SEALs, just regular military forces)
Command Crew: Bridge Crew, Intelligence Officers
This is a call for Interest Check. If you're interested feel free to indicate your character interest. Players can play up to 2 characters if they want. For now just indicate the type of character you would play, i.e:… Department, sex and speciality of any. If there's enough interest I will present a basic sheet for players to fill out.
