Do you still have spots open? I was thinking my character could be a local nurse, I could also rp the local doctor so the town feels more full.
Name: Alissa Merlyn
Age: 25
Gender: Female
Species: Human
Job: nurse
Appearance: Long dark brown curly hair that is normally up in a ponytail when she is working. Soft brown eyes that gleam when she smiles. Thinner framed but has a bit of muscle tone as she has to stay in good shape to be able to assist her patience with walking or being moved when needed. An overall plain appearance, she doesn't stand out in a crowd.
Personality: Alissa's kind and open nature means her bedside manner is always enjoyable. She cares deeply for her patients and sometimes has a hard time remembering to stay professional and not become friends with her many elderly patients. Deeply driven to learn everything she can on medicine, she is often found with her nose in a book or scrolling through a medical journal on her phone. Despite her experience with medicine and her ease with working in a professional setting, she is a bit uneasy outside of it. She is trying to expand her world outside of work, by taking up new hobbies, but she tends to be a bit clumsy and clueless outside her field of study.
History: Born to a single mother who was always ill, she spent a lot of time in hospitals. This blossomed a love for nurses, many of whom stepped up to help her and her mother scrape by in life. She quickly learned that if she wanted to become a nurse she needed to work hard to get past the challenges in her life. She spent her youth with her head in a book and always striving to improve her academic standing. When she finally reached her goal, graduating and getting a position at her local hospital. It was everything she wanted, the job helping others, the money to support her mother. But it didn't last. Her mother passed away, and only was it at this point that she realized just how alone she was in the world.
Alissa had trudged through life for a while longer, feeling hopeless till she couldn't take it anymore. She quit her job out of the blue, sold her things, and packed what little she had in her car setting off. She had no idea where she was going, just knew she couldn't stay in the life she had. She traveled all over, slowly eating through her savings as she saw the world she had missed while lost in her pursuit of being a nurse.
As her savings began to run short she found herself in the small town of Ivywood. Here fate took charge when a white dog chasing a cat ran in to the road, causing her to crash her car. While she was only a little scraped up, her car was damaged badly. The owner of the dog came to her aid. Taking her to his house to bandage her wounds and called for a tow truck. He turned out to be Dr. Aaron, and as he treated her scrapes he explained he was the town doctor. They began to talk about what brought her to the small town, and after hearing her story, offered her a job at the clinic.
Before she knew it she was renting a small cabin and working at the clinic. She became a bit of a traveling nurse as well, as a lot of elderly patience weren't able to make it in.
She is just starting out her life in Ivywood, but feels the quite life of a small town just might be what she always needed. Or so she thinks…
