Hello peeps! I'm am older fella (50+) but have been roleplaying in one way or another since my teens (I have 1st edition D&D). Forum-based writing RP is relatively new to me. I have done one RP that used aspects of that but the community was too toxic. I more recently joined another and am having great fun there, but wanted the opportunity to RP stories that are outside that world.

Right now I'm considering getting one or more RPs going where the setting is swinging 60s London. It's just a germination of an idea right now but would like to pursue it. That said, if something sparks my imagination I'd be down for writing just about anything.

While word count doesn't matter to me greatly, I'm currently writing posts averaging 400 to 800 words, paragraph style, and would like a partner that gives me enough back to work with. I generally write 3rd person past tense.

I have a busy life… full-time job… kids… dogs… so if I don't respond right away that would be normal, but I will respond.

Hello Hugh, Welcome to I.S. You'll find a mix of both older and younger authors here so you shouldn't have a problem fitting in at all. As for your being a bit new to this style of writing. I would recommend you spend a little time reading some of the stories here and see how various authors write and interact with one another. I'm sure you'll do great either way, but that's what I did.
