Introduction

Hello,
I am very familiar with technical writing, and for some time I have wanted to try to transfer those skills in a creative way. I thought that this website would be a practical and safe way to practice that. I hope that being very careful and thoughtful will make this a seamless transition.
I am especially interested in writing tasks that have very clear purposes and expectations, because I am not used to thinking in a creative way. I am mainly comfortable thinking about creativity as a problem solving task, at least for now. But the most important thing to me in my interactions (I hope) will be that the people I am around are passionate about all kinds of subjects.
I am excited to get to know people here and see so many creative writers working together!

I have a similar experience writing mostly technically or academically. I hope that we can both grow to write more creatively.

I notice that reading through threads helps visualize the difference in writing styles.
This can also help spark more creative plots and ideas that can be your "kindling" for writing creatively.
