Hello, I’m Mouse. I’ve been writing for 15+ years but recently took a 3 year hiatus after losing my partner who was my first and favorite writing partner. I love to write post apocalyptic, think Fallout, with a focus on slow burn romance. I like suspense in my stories, and appreciate some trauma bonding when it fits. I can be approached with other ideas as well, sometimes I can get into just about anything. I would say that slice of life is my least favorite but it would still depend on the context. I love smut, but have to have more story.
I work a 9-5 so my replies would be about every other day, occasionally only twice a week. On my days off I might reply multiple times. I usually write between 200 to 500 words.
I tell people I like bad endings but that doesn’t mean I like mean characters. It’s the unbeatable circumstances that break my heart that I am fond of. This fondness is likely why I’m drawn to nuclear fallout stories. I don’t shy away from violence from secondary characters. None of this is a must though. I’m great for just wholesome, safe bonds too!
I do write smut, but it’s not the objective. It’s the build up that I love. You can ask me in PM about my limits or request that I read yours first.
I did use the suggested template to assist in building this thread. I may update it soon if I don’t get many replies!
Ideas (all Fallout themed at this time)-
MC is a medical assistant in a surviving town not far from a large city. Her favorite patients are wastelanders passing through, and soldiers from the city that help defend her town. She’s in her mid 20’s and is crushing on one of the city guards/soldiers. When he doesn’t appear at his post one night, she ventures into the wasteland, despite being wildly unprepared. YC could either be that guard, or someone else completely that she crosses paths with.
MC is in the upper class of a thriving faction. She stumbles upon corruption she wasn’t previously aware of, and struggles with her moral compass. YC could be on the good or bad side of the predicament.
MC lost her entire settlement to raiders and is forced to survive on her own for the first time in her life. YC could end up being one of the raiders who finds her later, or someone unrelated.
I hope this is good enough to get some interest. Thank you for your time!
