Hey y'all,

I used to write on another site a few years ago, and I reached out to a friend who referred me here (thanks Shiress).
Wanted to post a 'hi' and make some friends while writing for fun again.
I think I'm getting back into writing because I miss expressing thoughts and conversations… and abstractions, ideas, dynamics, tensions, beauty, delight, wonder and so on and so forth through the simple act of fingers click clacking or tip tapping on a keyboard.

It took me forever to come up with a name. 'Ethel' felt the right amount of safe and old and short. I've never met anyone named Ethel, though I'm sure there are plenty out there. Means 'noble', apparently. Or it's a tree, not sure.

Maybe I'll write a noble tree character.

Who am I kidding, no one would want to write with an anthropomorphic arbor. Haha.

…so, while I brainstorm some ideas, I'll be poking around the site to read and get my bearings. Any help finding my way around and/or roleplaying would be appreciated to the tenth degree and beyond.

(And for those of you I met in chat... here are your complimentary exclamation marks!!!!!!!! And alcohol )

P.S. Timezone-wise, I'm near Toronto, Canada. I tend to be active in the late evenings or early mornings on a couple days of the week when I'm working from home. My full time job in IT has me in the office 3 times per week. Fun stuff.

Second! I bet you're wondering how to start Role Playing and where to go! I think it's pretty fun to explore the forums, and I highly recommend doing so! Most thread homes, if not all, have a pinned post at the top of them to tell you what goes there! However, the Request Threads are pretty self explanatory; Here's a Link! There's plenty to look through, but you could also build your very own! Tell people what you're all about and get those writing partners! Take your time though; there's never any pressure! If you were looking for an open story you can just jump in straight away, you can find them in Unfinished Tales!​

Next, I've created A Sanctum Tour to help find a lot of cool places on site! There's plenty to do while waiting on replies or to give yourself a break every now and then!
