Jacket's Request Thread​

Howdy! Thanks for checking out my thread!

I am:

• 23
• Nonbinary (He/They)
• An Adv Literate/Novella writer with 10+ years of experience in the hobby.
• A slow writer. I can reliably promise one or two posts a week, more if life allows, but it is not likely.
• Patient. I understand life comes before a hobby. If you need to take a break or stop for whatever reason, I understand wholeheartedly. All I ask is to be notified.
• Not interested in anything more than RP. It feels supremely awkward to have to say this, but experience has taught me to be safe rather than sorry. Outside of writing and a mutual friendship centered around the hobby, I'm not interested in anything more. Please respect my boundaries, and please let me know yours, so I don't cross them.

I am looking for a partner who is:

• 18+
• Ideally also a Adv Literate/Novella writer. I don't really care about how long posts are; as long as they have effort behind them and push the story along, they are fine by me. Quality over quantity, always.
• Creative. I'd like for any story we end up shaping to be collaborative, where we both contribute and share the load of building up the world and the characters.
• Open and communicative. Let me know what's working and what's not. I will do the same.

On romance and smut: I'm by no means a prude, and I enjoy my fair share of both, but I like to strike a balance that leans more towards plot than smut. 80/20 is the golden ratio for me; A healthy sprinkle of spice that doesn't overwhelm the dish, so to speak.

I am comfortable with darker themes of violence, substance abuse, self harm, and toxic relationships but they need not be part of our roleplay if you are not. Let me know, and I will adjust accordingly.

I am a switch, with a strong dominant lean. I'm very picky when it comes to being a sub, but it's not off the table. It just needs a lot more discussion for me than me playing a straight dom. I'm comfortable with and open to a lot, and if something arises that isn't on the list above, please let me know. I'm always more than happy to discuss the fine details so that we're all on the same page.

With all that out of the way, let's discuss plots!


Twin Aces [Sci-fi, Mecha, Rivals to Lovers to even more]: Set in a distant and dystopic future where the military industrial complex spans the spiral arm of the galaxy, this plot centers around two ace mech pilots. Either on opposing sides, or vying for supremacy within the same ranks, the pair have dedicated themselves-- Their minds, their bodies, and their very futures-- to being the best. The only thing that stands in their way is the other, nobody else even comes close, so what happens when the fighting stops? When they are left stranded on a desert planet after a scouring radiation storm leaves them separated from the rest of the world, from the war, and all they've ever known?


Where the Shadows Meet [Cyberpunk, Vigilantes, Us vs The World]: Under the neon haze and warm bustle of the city lies a rot that pervades every stratum of society, from the glossy and chic heights to the seedy and dirty slums. The criminal element is vast, and it is dug in deep, and it thinks it has won. Our characters will challenge that notion. One (Your character, ideally) a detective who has a penchant for asking the questions the police have been intimidated into ignoring, and the other (my character) a vigilante who sees no other way forward but to take matters into their own hands. Together, they will unravel a conspiracy that goes to the very top, and fight the odds ever stacked against them.


Once and Future King [Historical Fantasy, Political Drama, Opposites Attract]: Taking heavy inspiration from Arthurian legend and the historical context of post-Roman and pre-Saxon Britain, this plot revolves around a young would-be king, a legitimized bastard and sole heir, taking his father's throne in a time of conflict and instability. With foreign invaders to the south, and open insurrection all around him, the weight of the world rests on his shoulders. He seeks comfort and guidance in a pagan witch, far from the ideal and nonexistent princess whom it would be appropriate to marry, and the pair fall in love. Maybe in time the love will sour, and all that they have built and done together will fall apart, and maybe it won't. Maybe their love will ring true, despite the odds. Only time can tell.




I have left these plots vague on purpose to allow you the freedom to craft your own character, and I will also be creating my own to complement the dynamic.
