Write a Story of Betrayal

As always, prompts are open to interpretation. So long as general site rules are followed and the prompt is attempted, anything goes. Badges will be awarded to all participants, with a special one for the winner, all courtesy of @Rose for the Hunter

I am pretty sure you're allowed to add to your challenge entry if you max out the word count on one post. I think you just have to make sure it's all in one thread.

Any member of the site can enter the writing challenge regardless of how active they are or have been.

I'm barely here myself most of the time and it's been years since I've entered the monthly challenge here, but I still did an entry this month and no one has had an issue with it.
