Hello? Salutations? Introductions are not my strong suit, but I'll try. I'm Elaned, El-ah-ned, Elained works as well I think it's funny the amount of pronunciations I've heard of my handle. I'm relatively new to this, forum-based interaction consisting of Roleplay discussion, Writings, and the like. Uhm, I've learned of the site through a member (Titles are weird and semantical, friend is a close word but that requires both parties to feel that way, and acquaintance is very removed of emotion, tangent). ​I'm an open person, willing to learn new things. I've taken a minute to glance through the site, It feels foreign but not overwhelming. A bit more about me -I guess, I enjoy creating characters with intricate backstories, sometimes with an overarching world behind them. Uh other than that I look forward to the interactions I may or may not encounter within this space and hope to enjoy my time here and that others enjoy it with me.

Second! I bet you're wondering how to start Role Playing and where to go! I think it's pretty fun to explore the forums, and I highly recommend doing so! Most thread homes, if not all, have a pinned post at the top of them to tell you what goes there! However, the Request Threads are pretty self explanatory; Here's a Link! There's plenty to look through, but you could also build your very own! Tell people what you're all about and get those writing partners! Take your time though; there's never any pressure! If you were looking for an open story you can just jump in straight away, you can find them in Unfinished Tales!​

Next, I've created A Sanctum Tour to help find a lot of cool places on site! There's plenty to do while waiting on replies or to give yourself a break every now and then! Glad you decided to take the leap. Let me know if you have any questions. Also if you are feeling brave the people in the chat at the bottom of the screen are pretty nice.

Writer's Sanctum has this nifty place called the outersanctum which is this site wide story with persistent characters thats worth checking out as well. Its a little daunting, or at least it was for me to make your character but the narrator is really nice and can help make sure your character suits the setting/isn't too overpowered ect.
