Welcome to my updated request thread! (No seriously, my previous one was from pandemic years - it's been overdue for a revamp) Rei here. I've been writing on and off since... Summer '14, if memories are correct. (Shoutout to my mate
@Sonder_ , our old stories and characters!) Then university, life, and the mess of a pandemic happened, and we didn't exactly have time to write and/or worldbuild, so it fizzled out for a bit. But now I'm more than ready to get back into new stories, characters, and worlds. I generally write in third person past tense. Β»β Active Worldbuilding & OOC: By all means, expand story worlds with more side characters, throw some plot twists in, and let's just see where our characters take us. Basically, I don't want to be the only individual progressing the story.
Β»β Communication: Life happens, it can get busy sometimes, and/or sometimes you just get bored of a story, so all I ask is constant communication if you need a few more days/hiatus/or want to drop a story. And if we end up finding something else which might be interesting later down the line to collaborate on, that's cool with me too.

Β»β I write third person past tense, never quite tracked word count, and I'm not too fussed about a strict word count, quality over quantity, as long as posts are engaging, have things for me to react to, and we have an active OOC going on.
Β»β As for reply times, probably once a week minimum - maybe more if the inspiration strikes, and I'm super engaged.
Β»β I don't write NSFW - it's not really my cup of tea, I have zero experience writing it, and stories can work just fine without, so, just a quick lil disclaimer here.
Resurrections
I've invested far too much time and effort into a particular OC of mine,
Artemis Evernight, who was for a group RP. She's so fun to write, and it's a bit of a shame to have her collecting dust in the archives until that premise gets a reboot. So, I'm opening her to a 1x1 storyline. It'd be fun to play her against an obsessive character.

Dark Retellings
In which we take a classic fairytale (or Greek mythology - again, huge pool), and subvert it, along with giving it a darker twist. Plenty of options out there, but here are two examples. The first is a Cinderella AU, where she sneaks out to the ball, solely just to see what the hype is, with no interest of being chosen whatsoever. Alternatively, I could take the role of one of the stepsisters, who has no interest in blokes and marriage, but likes high fashion and their expensive pastries at the events. Point being, regardless the scenario, my protagonists are dismissive of high society and people, so they accidentally catch the eye of an influential wealthy individual who has never been rejected or dismissed before.

Hidden Price
Clea Stingray is a well known lawyer, who takes on difficult cases and wins them with her bluffs, gambles, and attention to detail at the scenes, evidence logs, and testimonies. She gets escorted to a yakuza family young master's estate, and is paid to take on a case. His sibling/bodyguard/second-in-command (someone he cares about, open to ideas) - gets framed for a series of murders. As the case progresses, the young master starts to dread the day they wrap up the contract, she gets paid, and leaves, and is determined to keep her through marriage. And of course, her boundaries are also getting tested by his younger sister, who sees Clea as the cool older sister, and often finds excuses to invite her out for lunch and shopping trips, also unwilling to let her walk away.
