Greetings and thanks for stopping by! I have everything below separated for your convenience, but if you decide you want to reach out, I ask that you at least read about my preferences at a minimum so you have an idea if we mesh well or not. Thanks for your time and attention!
Thank you again for taking the time to look at my invite! If anything you saw sparked your interest, don't hesitate to spark up a conversation!
I'm really stretching that “young” adulthood title, as my twenties are officially over. Along with that age comes a long history of writing on a lot of different platforms. I've written long enough that I saw instant messaging go from being the normal to forums and now back to instant messaging again through Discord!
Having said that, I've always had a soft spot for forums. They represent a community where you see the same people and foster creativity and improvement. The Sanctum staying up, even when I've taken breaks or written elsewhere, is truly a gift.
I have finished a number of stories, and unfortunately, not finished a greater number sometimes through the fault of my own. If you've never finished a roleplay through to its realistic conclusion, it's a pretty great feeling. I hope to start and finish more stories in this hobby.
As with everyone else, I have my own responsibilities and schedules, so I'm not available all the time. But I would love to take on one or two partners and get to work on something together!

I prefer MxF roleplays that often end up in romance, though I don't necessarily think this is a requirement every time. In fact, I'm usually happy to let the writing decide it organically. Part of the excitement of cooperative writing is that anything can happen. I’d be fine to write MxM stories, with the caveat that there would be no romantic themes between the main characters.
I don’t write as canon characters or against canon characters and tend to avoid fandoms entirely. I can be talked into writing in the right fandom, but I won’t participate with canon characters. It’s hard enough to remain objective with my own characters consistently against writing them towards my desired end goal, let alone with a character someone else entirely wrote.
I write anywhere from two to four paragraphs on a post. At one point I would write six or more paragraphs per post, but as time went on, I found the smaller three on average was enough to move the plot forward and give a satisfactory amount of material for a partner to react to while helping to avoid burnout and redundancy. When it comes to introduction posts or important moments, this length has the potential to go up, sometimes significantly. I would prefer someone who matches this length. I am fine with writing with a partner who matches me or writes more, but in general I need at least two paragraphs in order to keep a reasonable motion of the story moving.
When it comes to side characters, I prefer an abundance of them when the setting calls for it. It’s easy for the world to feel empty and unmoving when the story doesn’t have additional stakes or changes, and side characters with their own goals and motivations are an easy way to add that soul to it. It also creates the potential for more stories in the same setting in the future. I am happy to take on my part in this for side characters of all types and gender, but I do expect that my partner will take on their part in this too.
Finally, I prefer to have some communication with my writing partners. We don't need to become best friends or anything, but if we're never talking, I find the chances of the story enduring the test of time lowers.

My favorite genre is medieval fantasy, it’s what I typically seek out. The setting creates a great balance between the ability to make gritty themes and fantastical events in the same story. Nothing beats a single world where ancient old scholars collect powerful magic, elegant nobles shower noble halls, wars wage between ideologically radical kingdoms, and dragons threaten villages all in the same day. This is the type of setting I would like to write in, though if the idea or partner is right, I would try most settings.
When sexual themes are involved, I am an “80/20” story to smut ratio person, maybe even more story oriented than that. I’m also not particularly interested in the outlining of a dominant or submissive role assigned to either character pending there is some niche reason in the story behind it. I want sexual themes to be like the whipped cream on top of a latte, something that gives the story extra flavor. I certainly don’t want the story to only be a vehicle in which to push smut scenes.
Not to say I can’t work in my partner’s preferences or what they want, I am absolutely a collaborator in this hobby. But it is my view that these scenes are a payoff product, and by proxy, they are so much more satisfying when paced into the story properly.
Finally, consequences. I am a huge advocate for consequences in a story. It doesn’t mean that I am going to kill every character I write or anything like that. But success in a high stakes scenario is usually riddled with smaller failures in its wake. For instance, a war where all main characters and side characters participate and all of them leave scratch free isn’t a war, it’s punching bags in the form of an enemy. Be it emotional or physical, consequences are the only way to manifest that the stakes in a story are real.
Something I want to include is that, more than anything else, I want it to be our story, not my story. I want a partner who wants to drive it forward with me and surprise me the way I hope to surprise them.
As a little cliffnote, while I don’t particularly think it needs to be said due to it being against the rules of the site, I want to assure you with full confidence that you will never get any writing from me that uses AI in any manner and I expect the same to be returned. I don’t believe this is common, but I have heard stories of it. I don’t mind if you use it for art that is unique to our story, but I’m not really for or against it in that regard.

To be honest, I would most prefer to create something from scratch with a partner, but I know some baseline plots can help inspire ideas or even judge a person’s creativity, so I have a few bare and short plots below. I'll likely change them over time. As always, I’m open to modify or do something entirely different.
Rivaled Truce
War is raging between enemy kingdoms, both sides have suffered losses and have had a bittered hatred towards one another for a bulk of their history. In the current war, no side seemingly has the edge and every day is an inhumane struggle.
One morning it seems like it will be the same nightmare as always, until a new demonic force arrives. Formerly two battalions set on the destruction of one another are now jointly the only hope of preventing this force from destroying both kingdoms. Enemies will need to work together if they wish for their homes to survive.
(This could be changed to divert from armies to smaller factions, or even just two rivaled individuals. And of course, stakes could be increased or decreased.)
The Pilgrimage
It has been millenia since the cycle has started. In a remote village in the mountains the village holds a lottery to choose who they will sacrifice to prevent the incoming doom. This decade was no different than any other, rocks were drawn and a person was sentenced to their death. As is customary, a member of the regional enforcement order was sent to collect them and guide them to the peak of the mountains where they will be sacrificed.
Will the chain be broken this cycle? Is the incoming doom legitimate or merely an ancient superstition used to execute countless innocent lives.
(I have no preference for roles in this one. It's kept vague intentionally so that we could customize it together.)
Gladiator
A cunning king knows a cheap way to create entertainment and a thinly veiled threat against dissenters is a bloody gladiator arena. In a thriving kingdom, the governing body takes advantage of their superior military and captures all travellers they deem to not be a net positive to let pass. With no threat of a declaration of war from neighbors who would be destroyed, the kingdom happily pits their prisoners against one another in battles to the death. If a prisoner can survive twelve battles to the death, they are granted their freedom.
Two prisoners of different backgrounds create a bond, helping to coach one another in their performance and survive their battles. At first, their plan goes smoothly, they’re able to survive fight after fight, until each of them is assigned their twelfth fight: each other.
(There is a lot of room to change themes and characters here. We could also change one character to not be a gladiator to lower the intense stakes a little.
