Greetings!
You can call me Mara, and I've been role playing about 2/3 of my life. Writing is a big passion in my life, but I also got other hobbies and a life outside of Sanctum (gosh! Surprise!). Responding has sadly been slower as of late, I have a family with two small children to care for who takes a lot of my time, plus I have a full time job, but hey, I love to write and make sure my partner gets an answer or are updated so cheers! So, if you're okay with a slow-not-everyday-responding-partner but likes deep eventful stories and long posts from a loyal partner, here's what I like/prefer:
- I can play both genders, but prefer playing females. Prefers MxF, but can try MxM or FxF if you have a good idea.
- I usually write 500-2000 words/1-2 pages per post and would like partners who write about the same. Short post are nice too, but I can not do just 1-3 sentences.. I like shorter posts too but I'm usually bad at writing them myself.
- I write as one character, but likes too add other side-kick/minor/side characters, both male/female for the story/plot.
- I write in third person.
- Am not so much for roleplaying fandom/anime characters but can gladly roleplay in fandom worlds like Lord of the Ring/Star Wars/Studio Ghibli/Vikings etc.
- I post as often as I can, but lately one post per week (I have a family and two small kids so, yeah, sometimes my writing plans get canceled).
(I'll tell you if there's a reason it will be longer than that, if I'm traveling or away).
- Romance/relationships/passion/smut:
I adore romance, and would prefer if some sort of romance is in the story. First kiss, holding hands etc. I'm can do smut scenes, also okay with fading to black but I don't wish the whole roleplay to be about smut if we add it.
- A couple of writing samples from RPs I'm involved in here and here.
I enjoy many different genres;
Adventure / Action/ Sci-Fi / Speculative Fiction / Supernatural/ erotica/smut (you name it), but mostly I prefer and loooove Romance, Fantasy and Historical/medieval/Dark Ages fiction.
I like to throw in some Norse, Greece, and other mythologies too.
General themes/tropes/ideas I like:
x Kingdoms at war
x Mythical lore - human meeting a mytical creature/being.
x Monster/vampire/demon/werewolf/ witch.
x Dragon riders - adventure, fight, elements.
x Vikings - raids, sacrifice, war, drama.
x Your mine-passion /predator-prey/enemies to lovers.
x Forbidden love - two species falling for eachother even tho their not supposed too.
x Captive x Captor (Pirate/Supernatural)
x Forest/animal Gods/ Asian cultur/ Japan / Giant animals (inspiration from Princess Mononoke).
x Non-human characters like dragon, horses, wolves etc.
x Character thrown BACK in time/time travel to medieval/Dark Ages.
x Something that you thought of earlier in my text?

I like sweet love making, vanilla, licking, sucking, biting, scratching, a little choking but not so fond of slapping or cum "all over everywhere". Use of the p*ssy word or fuck/fucking is a big disclaimer for me... so I prefer if other words are used. Thanks.
Hard pass are: scat, vore, toilet play, godmodding, violence that goes beyond just having some rough sex, gore during smut scenes and so on. If you are interested in something and you are unsure that I'm into it, please just ask me.

After a long and tiresome winter war with the neighbours in the West, CharacterA/The knight returns home, only to find his ex-fiancee scrubbing the floor of his home. Even if he's still angry that she didn't keep her word to be his loyal wife (and secretly his hurt by her dismissal), he can't stand seeing her scrubbing the floor of his family's home every day, and watch how his brother and father humiliates her. But if he helps her, he will probably be disinherited and have to kill his own father and brother.
Character B/The Maid has nowhere to go or flee. After her whole family was murdered by her captors who now force her to clean, scrub and do other house work, she is trapped in their castle and her only hope is to beg her ex-fiance to have mercy on her and send her away. Tho she doubt he will show her any kindness or sympathy after what his family did to her family. He couldn't even keep his promise and marry her, instead he just left without a word to rage war in the West.

Basic idea was a Roman army invading a Celtic land, but it can be anything similar/different genre.
(Inspiration King Arthur (the movie, 2004), Troy (the movie, 2004), Gladiator 1 & 2).
Male character, an officer/captain of the army, has almost finished their obligatory X year term of service and fighting for Rome, and has only one more mission to fulfill before he and his men can return home. Their mission: seize the last heathen area/stronghold in the country, capture their heathenish leader, and thus the entire barbarian country will be under Roman rule. Preferably without bloodshed but with force if it is the only way. As they arrive at the Roman station not far from the heathenish stronghold, they find out that the Roman general has tried to negotiate with the heathenish leader on several occasions, but now enough is enough. The only problem: it is basically impossible to enter the stronghold from the outside. No army has yet succeeded, but perhaps a single man in disguise as one of the heathens could get inside?
The Female character was there when her father and brothers tried to negotiate with the enemy a week/month ago, about a truce or to keep the little land they had left. The negotiation ended in bloodshed, but it is unclear who drew their blade first. Both sides blame the other. She lost her father and brother and was imprisoned by the general of the Roman army (who was captivated by her?) and intends to keep her as a slave.
The captain pretends to free her, claiming to be another slave who's escaping, and together they leave for her people's last place of sanctuary: where the enemy has not yet been able to reach (some dark primeval forest/ a valley/ winding mountain ridge with secret tunnels and passages?)
On the way, they get to know each other, saves the other one from danger/death and the captain has to decide in the end if he truly wants to betray her trust and let the Roman empire conquer her people's land, giving her over to the Roman general, and finish his last mission, or will he join her and free her people?
Will she accept him when she learns the truth about him? Or will she try to kill him to protect her people and their secrets?

Idea/Plot: Dragon people are losing their powers, whiles the Fae people want them gone from the land.
The dragon race/people who dominates the world/land, or they did once, their numbers have for some reason declined over the centeries. They're are powerful (perhaps magical?) beings and can shift from dragon to humans, but for some reason they haven't been able to take dragon form the last couple of years/decades which troubles them. They live in clans, with one dominant leader/cheif but several strong chieftain/war lords perhaps. Everything from small groups in villages to large cities.
I'm thinking Faes are a rare people, and have been submissive to the dragons for ages like many other speices. (it can of course be any other speices than Fae.) The Fae remembers the days before the dragons took over, and are somehow stealing the magic/essence from the dragons, weakening them to be able to eliminate them and take over the rule of the land/take the land back. To speed up the whole thing, to infiltrating their cities, Faes are transformed and sent to several dragon clans in new shapes as dragon citizens (done with dark magic or I was even thinking with the help of stolen dragon souls that turned them somehow).
It later turners out that it wasn't truly the Fae who stole the dragons magic, but a third party: shadows creatures/demon/a banished dragon/fae going dark who slowly sapping the dragons of their power, whispering in some Fae leaders ears and lets the dragon and the Fae play the long game and kill eachother off (if a shadow creature/demon they could be about to invade the realm to make it their new dark home, thus the real threat for both dragon and fae people). That leaves our characters to try to stop it. One dragon and one Fae against three warring factions. They must tracking down the bastard who steals dragon souls, and making peace with the Faes and return the magic to the dragons, and stop the third party from entering the realm and take over.
Character A (a Fae?) is send with others (of its species) to start chaos and make it easier to infiltrate the dragon cities, but is caught or falls in love with one of the dragons (Character B). Character A knows why (or a little of) the dragon people has lost their ability to shift/use magic and wants to help them restore their magic, and helps Character B to solve why the dragons are losing their powers.

(I became a little inspired after watching the new LotR the War of the Rohirrim. Also thinking controling the elements like in The last airbender.).
One dragon king rules the land, whilst several dragon leaders/chiefs helps keep the peace/rule around in the kingdom. (Perhaps several different dragon races [water/fire/thunder dragons]. A rumor claims that one dragon clan/chief is on the path of rebellion/wants the crown and during a meeting with all the leaders/chiefs under the king, this dragon clan/chief challenges the dragon king for the crown. Which he also loses. As punishment, he and his entire family/clan are exiled to the Wastelands. Without the protection of your clan/village/city it is difficult to survive, even for a dragon person (the Wasteland is home to several other beasts and monsters). Shortly after this event, several dragons, including the king, start to lose their powers/magic and ability to shift into dragons.
The banned dragon clan are assumed to have betrayed the dragons, taking their powers and ability to shift, cursing the other clans and the king -and perhaps are the only clan still with their abilities and they can still shift into dragon form. The prince/a dragon (male character) from the royal family or loyal to them, travels to the wasteland in searching for the banned clan, looking for their help. Meeting one of the banned clan members (female character) he realize that they were not the ones stealing the dragon's powers and such, so he's trying to get their help but the entire clan hates the dragon kingdom rulers now and she's the only one willing to help him. Maybe just being around her starts to bring back his powers... is she (a healing dragon) the answer and why are dragons losing their powers, but not the ones in the wasteland?
I was thinking the characters are mates, like werewolves, which complicates the whole thing if she's from the banned clan and he's the prince.
