I am currently playing through all the Life is Strange games in chronological order and with Reunion being out, I find myself particularly obsessed with the idea of exploring Max and Chloe's dynamic as adults!
Playing: I would prefer to play Max, as I have quite the large amount of experience with her.
Post length/frequency: I average out about 3 paragraphs, with longer responses for starting messages. I will respond at least once daily, but my schedule is pretty flexible so that affords me more time to respond. I will communicate privately when there will be a delay.
Content warnings: Life is Strange has a plethora of intense material. This includes (but may not be limited to)- violence, gun violence, alcohol/drug usage (mostly marijuana but if you know the deal with Mark Jefferson I need not say more), death, suicide (or implications of it), and so much more. Please let me know what you're comfortable with including and what you want to exclude. I am very flexible and of the belief that a good story can be written without everything added in.
I have a few plot ideas, none of which necessarily require any information about Double Exposure or Reunion. But please feel free to bring forward your own ideas!
1. Bae Ending: Max chooses to save Chloe and sacrifice Arcadia Bay. They try to leave behind the heartache of what happened and look forward but Max keeps taking ten steps backwards. Ultimately, her and Chloe part ways after a few years when it becomes too much. It leaves Max to wonder if her curse is to forever be lost to the passage of time, and Chloe to wonder if she is some kind of curse that haunts the people she loves. It's only a few years later they find their way back to one another when Max's powers evolve and visions of something worse than a storm force them to work together again.
2. Bay Ending: Max chooses to sacrifice Chloe and save Arcadia Bay. She comes to resent herself for never being able to save the girl she loved in favor of a town that didn't give a shit about her. She spends a lot of time wandering, wondering what might have happened if she'd been stronger or better. Five years later, she returns to Arcadia Bay in the hopes that finding the answers to move forward lie in the past. When confronted with memories of everything that had happened, Max finds her powers have evolved and the consequences leave her perplexed. Somehow, she's managed to slam together two timelines: dead Chloe versus alive Chloe. She has the girl back, and in theory the town is still standing. But what does this new storm have to bring?
3. Max Ending: Max jumps back into the photo of the blue butterfly and chooses neither Chloe or Arcadia Bay. She chooses herself, wondering if sacrificing herself makes it all right. I.e, Max jumps in front of Nathan at the last second and takes the shot that would have killed Chloe. Only Max doesn't die. She's lost to a coma for a year where visions plague her. She wakes up, still with time powers, and with Chloe maybe knowing more than she should. (Or maybe Chloe knows nothing at all- our choice).
These are just a few ideas I threw together! I'm down to alter anything or I'd even be open to creating something new! If this interested you at all, please reach out and let's create a story together!
