I wrote a little intro that will give an idea of the basic direction I thought the story might go. I had written it thinking of historical England, but this could easily be changed to a fantasy realm if someone did not wish to deal with too many details. I'm definitely open to changes or suggestions. Overall I am just looking for someone who is open to communication. I do not need super quick responses and am fine with waiting. Quality over quantity. Please let me know if you have questions.

Lord Tarlington, was in Emma's estimation the epitome of a devastatingly handsome man. She, being not even twenty, was still prone to such weaknesses of the heart that turn romance into a wild, untamed thing. Even with this being the case, she did not know how any woman could resist his vivid blue eyes with flecks of green, or his smile that made one think he harbored some sort of delicious secret. Even the little bits of grey at his temples only added to his charms.

She saw him daily, generally multiple times. He frequently smiled and laughed in her presence. And after several years of knowing him, she could boast of knowing many of his more personal affinities, such as the dishes he most preferred or the outfit he favored most. There was one minor detail standing in between her and happiness with Lord Tarlington. He was her employer and likely didn't even know she was alive.

This was not to say he was unkind to his servants in any way. On the contrary, he treated them more fairly than most. But, as a Earl, he had grown accustomed to having his needs taken care of silently since childhood by the hired help. He was polite, but apart from speaking to his steward and on occasion the cook, he took no notice of the hands and feet that ensured his life ran smoothly every day. Emma never faulted him even while she would mentally will him to even glance at her. She knew it was foolish. Even if he actually saw her, nothing would come of it. He was a noble, and married. And she was...a maid.

So I had started a thread with someone here and he has not returned to the site. If anyone has an interest, please take a look at the thread I created and let me know. I expanded the intro that I wrote here.
