Hello!
Like many people here, I'm a bit terrible with introductions, and they make me a little nervous. How much is too much? Am I not putting forward enough? Do I come across as stand offish and uninteresting? First impressions are crucial.
So a little about me. I've been roleplaying playing off and on since the glory days of AIM. Writing and storytelling on my own practically since I could write. However, I've found I enjoy writing with someone a bit more. I like the surprise it can bring to a story. As well as working collaboratively with someone, coming up with ideas I never would have thought of on my own.
Fantasy and romance with a splash of adventure have always been my go to genres for writing. Likely from years of loving Tolkien and Disney, and secretly wanting to combine the two. Also wanting more fantasy fiction with a female protagonist who can save the world and find true love too.
Outside of writing I'm a rather standard geek. Love Star Trek and Star Wars. Harry Potter consumed my high school years. Many, many hours spent gaming. A large, no huge, amount of that time spent in World of Warcraft and Skyrim.
This is where the nervousness kicks in again. Was all that enough? How should I end this? I don't know what's a good point to end on!
Oh, one other thing. I'm not new to forum roleplay, but it's been a few years since I've indulged. My current roleplays are through email, but I'm looking forward to meeting and writing with new people.
So, I guess that's it. Nice to meet you!
