⸻⠀the self⠀⸻

Despite his dour demeanor - the man carries his own personal burdens, but prefers to not allow it to darken others days.
Often reflective in how he is treated and in turn will treat another the same way they treat him. Despite his rough edges given to him from a life once ended in exile, he was returned not out of a desire to but an accident. Now, he is merely seeking purpose and above all perhaps redemption for his former actions.

ALIGNMENT: Neutral Good
LIKES: Seasoned food, the absence of violence, a good drink along with better company and conversation.
DISLIKES: Those who abuse others for pleasure, needless cruelty and above all selfishness. Those whobelieve they are above others.

⸻⠀the body⠀⸻

HEIGHT: 6.2ft
HAIR COLOR / STYLE: Surprisingly, despite being hooded and wearing a helm of darkenned steel. His hair is a short dirty blond.
EYES: Mismatched - one blue, the other electric green
SKIN TONE: Caucasian
PHYSIQUE: Athletic but not largely built. More so for speed and stamina over brawn.
DOM. HAND: Right handed predominantly, but also trained to use his left.
APPARENT AGE: Early thirties
VOICE: His voice is calm, oddly gravelly and hinted at an accent not from known parts.

MODIFICATIONS //
none
SCARS / MARKINGS //
A deep jagged scar runs along both his neck and another along his chest.

⸻⠀the ability and tools⠀⸻

How did your character get their skills and abilities? Are they natural, granted by items, training, etc.

ABILITIES //
His first skill comes in from fighting - not just with a blade but with his hands, fists. A lifetime of fighting for scraps from early childhood - to eventually being taken in as a mercenary and reforged into what had once been the Dark Steel Ravens all so long ago. His other skills are both in math - the basics of addition, subtraction. Tracking and hunting. Archery and sword. Later during his years to from his teenage to later twenties was spent bettering himself in the literary arts, reading mostly for escapism. But now as time has continued that has changed and after his return from death his perspective also .

SPELLS //
Defensive arts, while tricksterish at best and sometimes capable - such spells against more seasoned casters can either be easily circumvented or overcome with other spells he hasnt heart of.

Gitter: While its one of his newest abilities it creates a flicker effect of where he is as opposed to where he isnt within a range of less than a meter of where he is.
Those with magic abilities depending on being more than a novice find this more of a parlour trick and can often see through is intended use, even those of novice training would see essentially four blurred images and where he is originally. For those not trained in the magical arts - it appears as if he is in four places at once. However when standing still and doing this - a keen eye can see the inconsistencies in the projected illusion - but when moving this is much harder to percieve. In all cases, this is better as a spell against those who are ranged combatants than those in melee.

Noul: A silent hand gesture, requiring heavy mental extertion to either deflect than absorb a magical attack. This can work against projectiles but think of it more as an angled barrier than a projected field. More so to deflect than to stop an object or projectile.

Caunter: A caste spell that either momentarily causes a jolt through an opponents mind either disorientating their thoughts or breaking a casters concentration briefly.

Nuln: A hand gestured spell requring a verbal component and a burning component. This can undo a fixed cast spell or break an enchantment. However, against casters this can weaken powers in and around an area up to fifteen meters in a circle from the caster or be directed into an object but not a person.

ATTIRE //
When not travelling, loose shirts, trousers, or shorts and sandles when in camp. Boots when at formal occasions.
When travelling his attire almost always hides his face and heavy is his cloak.

GEAR //
His armour consists of a mixture of mail, plate and scalemail. The materials are from the padded jackets such as a gambeson, through to rivetted mixture of mail and scalemail to give varying levels of protection and plate for more serious areas, such as the chest, the back, the shoulders, lower arms and upper legs. As for his weapons - this consists of a parrying curved hooked dagger and a heavy double edged sword - worn from use and time. Leather pouches contain small neccessary things from snacks like dried meat, medicinal treatments and even items for certain defensive spells. A bedroll and backpack along with a second pair of boots.

INVENTORY //
When not needing to be armed, often he has his usual city attire. Consisting of a small arming dagger, coins and a jacket.
When travellng he wears all that he can along with his backpack and weapons. These are most cases stored in the backpack and not at his side as this can prove cumbersome.

⸻⠀the story⠀⸻

The Darksteel Ravens died - all of them - all due to one mans treachery and anothers vengeance. Such was the price of betrayal and that all of them had turned on their leader - turned the back on who they were in the pursuit of coin over morality. Like all the other former members he had been hunted to the ends of the earth and when confronted - opted to fight to live than die for anothers vendetta. He died - not by his former leaders sword but instead ambushed by thieves and thugs - while he killed them he succumbed to his wounds It was here it was revealed that he had died doing a good cause in protecting others unknowingly who had been actually their intended targert. It was by accident that he was returned from death after being mistaken for the former leader of the dark steel ravens. Raised by a dark cultist faction from death - hoping to use the infamy of the Dark Steel Ravens and bring about an army of undeath - he was brought back to life and the first thing he did upon seeing the horror of human sacrifice was turn his blade upon those who had brought him back to life.

While he no longer ages as fast as a human - he is subjective to holy magics and cannot entire temples without smouldering and suffering great pain. But despite this he tries to do the right thing - where others only seem to prefer the more pragmatic or self serving of lesser evils. It was after ten years - travelling as a wandering swordsman and mercenary brought back to life it was revealed that his own skills while great. Are not the greatest and his skills still are in need to be honed. While he may not be perfect, he prefers the journey to becoming better than the end goal of perfection.

Its here - this wanderer seeks purpose and answers to why he still lives and why the gods hate what he is. Despite looking human and being human.
