Fixyon Writer
Knight
Hello, and thank you for checking out my general request thread. The title is from an old song which gives away my actual age. If that bothers you, no hard feelings.
OK, you are still reading. I am a man who likes to write what seems to be a niche these days, "fluffy romance". What I mean by fluff is that the characters like each other, and want to be with each other. It does not exclude rough sex, Dominance and submission, bondage or physical discomfort, it just means both characters want it and have defined the limits. I like to create my character for every story to match what my co-writer is looking for. He might have traits borrowed from known theatrical or show characters, but those will be because he works in the role. I will confess, if the setting is modern, my character will be older, because I am out of touch with a lot of current pop culture. Pre- 1980 I am willing to play almost any age allowed my sight. I do enjoy doing stories set in certain time periods, just ask.
Now for those dreaded details of writing style. In most cases I write third person, and my normal posts are between 100 and 300 words. In introductions or if the muse moves me, I will go 500 words or more. I will write first person upon request. I tend to review post twice a day and try to respond at least once a day unless the muse has left me. I tend to write a lot of conversation, and process/action.
What I am looking for in a story is a female character who wants to be with my male character. Her appearance details are up to my co-writer. The character is hers, and not mine. If the character is from a cannon, please understand, I may not know the cannon and will not likely react in the scripted manner. As to pairings, my desired ones are simple, Husband and Wife or a dating couple. I know, boring, but what I like. I am open to imperfect characters, meaning physical limitations or disability. A few plots I like to play these characters in are, arranged marriages with age gap, for a twist would like to be younger groom for older bride, blind dates that go well, and a modern couple with an old fashion traditional marriage (might consider a role reversal with the right writer and set up).
Finally, the things I don't care to write, incest, pain, torture, public humiliation, water sports, dismemberment and death. Remember, I like stories where the two main characters like each other like each other.
That about covers everything in general, if you are interested at all drop me a line and we will brain storm, which I like almost as much as story writing.
