Okay, this is my second attempt at a request thread now that I've gotten a bit more used to the site, so hey! I'm Mango, I'm 18, and I have a soft spot for fiction. I'm not new to role playing but I only joined the IS last year after a long writing break, so I'm just getting used to it all again. Generally I've written for myself since I was quite young, but with other people I've been writing about five years or so.
I used to be able to write as every gender or type of character, but as of late I've found myself only comfortable with writing women, although I am comfortable with anything for the other half of the pairing. I do prefer FxF, but MxF works too. As for genre, fictional worlds hold a special place in my heart; sci fi, fantasy, a mix of both, or something like it is going to get the best writing out of me, especially if we're worldbuilding together. That isn't to say I won't do slice of life or otherwise real-world stories, but it would take a rather compelling plot to peak my interest.
I'll be honest, replies can be sparse some weeks and frequent on others, I'm an university student with poor time management, so it can be unreliable, however I will always keep you in the loop if I need some time. Generally expect weekly replies as a bare minimum, though normally I can get out a few replies a week as long as life doesn't get in the way. In terms of post length, I really don't like short replies; as a minimum I'd say I write around 600 words, but I have been known to go over 1k words. Of course, it doesn't always have to be that long, quality over quantity and all, just give me something to work with and I can be flexible.
I'm pretty desensitised to violence and gore, considering horror is one of my favourite genres, but I really only include it if the story calls for it. As I tend to go for action based plots, it usually fits in one way or another, but if you're planning on writing something particularly gnarly, especially if it affects one or both of the main characters, then I'd rather talk about it first. Sex and romance is something I include in nearly every single RP, but for me it is plot over all of that. Smut is great, just keeping it to a 80/20 plot to sex ratio is my preference. Also, discuss any kinks or other notes in terms of smut with me beforehand and I'll do my best to accommodate, I myself am working on an F list to include in this to make it a little easier. In terms of romance, generally I'd prefer that to be the objective for the pairing, but it doesn't have to be, and if it is then slow burn is ideal.
I have one primary setting that I use for sci fi, called the Ninth Nova. You can find it in my signature, but the actual thread is a work in progress. Other than that I'd actually enjoy creating a new world together, as fandoms aren't really my thing, but if world building isn't for you I understand and we can keep that to a minimum.
Now for the pairings and plot ideas, though I don't have anything detailed and I'm happy to hear about any ideas you may have. A side note also, these are all gender neutral so the pairing can go either way:

outlaw x detective
witch x human assistant
pirate x rival pirate
mercenary x scientist
