Ability: Dance of the Shikigami. -Paper Magic, or paper release. The ability to manipulate paper sheets in varies ways. Using them to fly, as spell bombs, soul switch or clones. But as with all abilities given, she is only a novice at the start of roleplay and progresses in her mastery of this family honed style of magic.
Personality: Quiet, timid, a bit underwhelming in her presence at first. But she has a firm stance of right and wrong, and is willing to put her life on the line.
BIO: (varies due to rp) The Hanzo clan originated in Japan then moved to during the 'fall of the shinobi' period to keep the bloodline of the Shikigami within the family. Yet, Mara's own grandmother, Kikyo, had an affair with a brilliant French biologist and early geneticist. The two of them ran away from the Hanzo clan in search of various human abnormalities such as herself. After many mishaps and near death encounters, the scientist created a manuscript categorizing several people worldwide who were capable of unfathomable gifts of mastery that well surpassed human understanding and modern science. They were soon caught by the Hanzo clan and forced to return to Japan or suffer death.
Kikyo agreed to return to Japan on the condition that no one was harmed. A blood oath was made by the current head of the family and she was taken away with the book being the only treasure she was allowed to keep. That, and a baby boy the following winter she gave birth to just before falling ill.
The boy was raised by the Hanzo family to honor the blood oath Kikyo had them make. And when it came to pass, Hugo was betrothed to Mara's mother Mei who gave birth to Mara so that the Shikigami blessing was not lost.
During her early years, Mara was raised almost in secret due to her grandmothers magical prowess still leaving fables throughout Europe. The Shikigami was traced to the Hanzo family by a warring clan the Oda. Mislead that her mother Mei was the mysterious Shikigami from legend, they killed her and her husband for good measure while Mara was with her grandfather that day.
Three months after her parents death, she started to slowly move paper as she reached for it during her favor pass time of coloring, painting and origami. She kept the trait to herself until her grandfather Hattori showed her their family secret, and took her on as his pupil.
Goals in Roleplay: She hopes to surpass her grandmothers mastery of this reknowned art of combat, and prove to herself or worth in her grandfathers eyes and to herself.
