Hello everyone! So I have a specific idea in mind of something I would love to play out with someone who has similar interests in this storyline. There will be plenty I'm flexible with to tweak or change to our liking, the only things concrete I would like to keep are the setting and most of the premise of the plot idea here.
Before i get to the idea I am looking for a writing partner who is literate and loves detail, but not for the sake of filling a word count. I'd rather not read two paragraphs on how water droplets trail down over leaves and grass, and yes I have had that happen before. Bring on all the angst, feelings, smut to your hearts desire, and be as descriptive as you want but make it pertain to the story and to help character development while moving along the story. Quality and content over quantity is key!
And as a side note: romance and smut are a requirement for the story, it won't be the sole focus but I do want it to be in there. I don't have a ratio in mind but I do like to have a good amount of smut with the story.
My posts normally range from 500-1200+ words depending on the scene and inspiration. If it is more of a dialougue heavy scene or needing a characters response to move along then it will be on the shorter side but I always make sure I give enough for my writing partner to work with. I am not a one liner type of person and will not give any one line type of response.
My idea:
The world I see is more medieval, high fantasy type with ruling kingdoms and the like. There would be many kingdoms but the story I have in mind would focus on just three specific ones. (We can chose the name of the kingdoms and characters together) My character would be the princess of one kingdom that have a long lineage of being dragon tamers, but it has been many years since one with those powers has been born and as such the dragons that once resided there have left or died because of their loyalty to the people. My character would be the first born with that power in two decades and in recent years a rival kingdom has been trying to start a war with them seeing as they still have dragons and other weaponry in their land while my characters kingdom does not. They want more land, power and possession of my characters power. It would be then that a large, strong kingdom to the east reaches out to her parents kingdom, the reigning dragon warlord (YC) is asking for the princess' hand in marriage in exchange for their protection and loaning them a few pairs of dragons to be able to rebuild their own hordes.
The king accepts the exchange even as my character refuses and is against it, being forced to be married off to a warlord known for his cruelty and strength. Yet when their ceremony takes place he never shows any cruelty towards her and his dragon, who is notorious for bowing to no one except for him, bows and accepts her as well. When they move to his kingdom his dragon becomes her protector of sorts as she works to strengthen her power and become a strong leader beside her unwanted husband, yet even her cold heart starts to thaw for him as he shows her a side of him in private no one else gets to see.
That's all that I have in mind for now, yet as I said I am flexible in tweaking things if needed to suit both of our interests.
