[I am going to add to this thread slowly, and this will be edited once I have the time. I needed some spots for the new characters I have created...so for now they will sit here. xD]

Prince of the shadows.

THEME:

683D41CA-41DB-4B96-AC01-8FC3C2E8BB9A.jpeg

Name: Kaede

Species: Demon

Rank: Firstborn. Prince.

Age: 126. Looks 27.

Personality: Sharp, cunning, but above all, he is impatient with a relatively poor attention span. Kaede craves excitement and loathes schedule or organisation in his life. Despite his careless nature, Kaede is intelligent and extremely observant. He doesn't take risks that he cannot handle. His memory is extensive, and he does not forget things that people have ever told him.

At heart, he is an adrenaline junkie and seeks thrills to satiate his hunger. This paves way for recklessness at times, and a dire lack of responsibility for those around him. His independence is his first love, and curiosity is his second.

Important note: Kaede has a streak for vengeance. If his trust is broken, he is not often forgiving.

Appearance: Lean frame, athletic. Not overly burly, but he is indefinitely muscled. Fiery hair, the shade of red copper. Fair skin, with sharp black eyes. Kaede's irises can often change colour depending on his mood. Something he irritatingly has no control over. Gold, for lust, red for anger. There are more, but those are the two main shades. If he's neutral or unbothered, it remains glossed over like rich obsidian.

Abilities: Swift. Immune to fire. Physically stronger than average.

He does not require much sleep or food to sustain himself. Rather, these are luxuries he dabbles in when it suits him. Teleportation through "smoke-walking."

Healing, though he has to give his own blood to affect another person, ie; via an open wound, He can control fire to some small extent, though most of his powers rely heavily on escape, offence, and outsmarting his opponent.

Adept with his weapon from the void-, "Trygan"

Made from carbon-steel, and reinforced with red diamond along the hilt. Materials that come from the void.

The weapon is red, whilst the inner section holds faint tinges of silver. The hilt is firm and thin in comparison to the general wider diameter of the sword. Yet it is well balanced and lends a natural strength to the arm. It is slightly heavy but is manageable for most. The blade is sabre-like only in its length and stretches to 3feet and 10 inches.

Despite his exile, his weapon still has connections with the underworld, and faint red-hued magic swirls around the weapon. It was forged from the great depths of hellfire itself and was gifted to him by his grandfather, Caine. Kaede can manipulate its structure to make it longer, or much thicker in width. It's almost impossible to break, and if another was to attempt to grasp the weapon, it would begin to burn their flesh the second they came in contact with it. There have been many attempts to steal it, for its worth is considerably high.

History: Exiled to live amongst the human world.

Reason? Impossible to control.

Real reason? Each son of Cain must compete in the trials of Valmeana in the underworld. The competition went wrong. There were irreversible fatal mistakes, which unleashed so much chaos that (for reasons revealed in rp) he was exiled to live in another world. Cain rendered him weak and flung Trygan in the opposite direction to where the prince would land. Without many of his powers, nor his weapon, it was a gruesome punishment. The agony of severing a link, and stripping a mans abilities are said to rival death itself.

Extra: Kaede has a high body temperature at all times.

The Psychiatrist.

QADIR.jpg
Name: Dr Qadir Ramsey.

Sexuality: Bisexual.

Job: Psychiatrist.

Height: 180cm.

Age: 32

Appearance: Athletic build. Dark brown hair, and sharp grey eyes. Tatoo of his sister's name along his collarbone. Light olive complexion, with a scar on the right side of his jaw from a juvenile altercation in his younger days. He got into some petty crime, but slid away from it after his first slip up. As a grown man, he now has more sense, and a lot more to lose.

Family:

Qadir's Father. (Age 56) Hale Ramsey, founder of Vinton Cars. A wealthy businessman that Qadir rarely keeps in touch with now. Though that was not always the case.

Missing Sister: Calista. (would now be 23 if she is alive.)

Qadir's mother: (Age 53.) Zaina Merin.

Zaina is currently admitted into a psychiatric ward at the edge of town.

Family history:

Qadir's mother was always very close to her father. When he died, Zaina went through a rebellious phase and her mother cut all contact. It all caused Zaina to suffer a mental breakdown in her early teens. She was admitted to the NYC- Bellevue hospital and discharged when she was 18. Her teams kept her on some strong medication to keep her stable, and she lived a fulfilling life, creating her own modelling agency and catwalks that became quite successful.

She met the charismatic Hale Ramsey at a car showroom. They met up a few more times and fell in love. He admired her zest for life, and she admired his charisma.

Qadir was her firstborn, and nine years later, she had a second child. They named her Calista after Zaina's grandmother since she had the brightest blonde hair and crystal grey eyes, (which Qadir also inherited.)

One day when Zaina was at work and Hale was looking after little Calista, he popped out for a cigarette break. It was a typical part of his routine, and Qadir was still at school, so this was one of the few times he could smoke without Zaina scolding him.

Hale felt something irritating buzz in his pocket. He reached down and pulled out his phone. When he realised it was an unknown number that had called him five times; he picked up.

The conversation lasted a matter of minutes…. but it was enough time for them to do what they needed to do.

Hale was always in the limelight. A consequence of his success was that they lived in a wealthy condo in LA. He often held interviews on television, advertising the million-dollar deal he had just completed with Aston Martin. This wealth had earned him some enemies. When Hale ended the call and dropped his cigarette to extinguish it, he noticed a mark on one of his luxury cars. Well, that wouldn't do, so Hale bent down to inspect the edge of his bumper, shaking his head in annoyance.

He would have to get that checked out.

Finally, he traipsed back into the house, and finding little Calista's room empty, dropped his phone, pack of cigarettes, and cried out in terror.

Zaina rushed home way too fast that day and crashed into another car at a roundabout, five minutes from home. Little Calista was never found, and Zaina suffered a brief stroke.

They left Qadir waiting at school that day, until one of his father's colleagues came to pick him up, three hours after school had finished.

Zaina was lucky, as it was only her right arm that was affected, but following the event, she suffered another breakdown and was placed back under the care of her mental health team. Her driving license was restricted again, and her unpredictable moods meant she was often in and out of hospital.

Personality: Qadir has a naturally caring tendency towards most people. He's intelligent and protective of his family. A logical consequence of everything he has experienced. His relationship with his mother is good, whilst his relationship with Hale is at best…distant. He has never forgiven him for what happened, and it created a rift in the family that they have tried desperately to bridge. Despite this, Qadir has a laid back persona, rarely loses his temper, and is quite humorous when he wants to be. Above all, he has a hard work ethic.

History: His mother's medical condition meant Qadir was always interested in mental health and helping other individuals that were struggling with the darker aspects of their life. He had witnessed firsthand just how necessary it was to have a support system. After the crash, Zaina had leaned on him more than ever. His father, Hale, still carried on his company, but he had become a ghost of his former self, and Qadir became the main 'man of the household.' Which was nothing to brag about.

It was admittedly exhausting, and he missed the way things had been when he was younger. After college, he threw himself into his education, finding that it was the only thing that helped keep his mind from veering out of control. It was difficult, and he suffered bouts of depression and challenging tangles with alcohol, but eventually completed his degree and got a much better handle on his drinking. He strays away from it as a general rule of thumb. Though, like his father, he picked up Hales' habit of smoking.

Qadir studied medicine and completed his supervised clinical experience, as well as studying for another 6-7 years to complete extra degrees that sub-specialise in adult and adolescent mental health. This allowed him the flexibility to work in: addictions, children, neuropsychiatry, and social & rehabilitation psychiatry.

Hale's legacy meant Qadir had enough money to open up his establishment after working for another few years. A reporter had found his story interesting and published it in the local newspaper following a long interview. This boasted Qadir's clientele, and his father's old contacts helped to put his establishment on the map.

Qadir had a lot of outside aid, but he excelled naturally in his job, and his laid back demeanour in his profession was a welcome change from the strict straight-jackets that he had seen his mother converse with. Qadir also aided the government. At 28 he compiled his first report, that analysed the effects of extended sectioning on both patients and their family members in psychiatric hospitals.

Extra: Qadir often attends press conferences which he dislikes. Public speaking has never been his forte, and he hates cameras. Anything that will keep his mind occupied. Running, walking, reading. Qadir has tried almost everything to escape his thoughts when they float in the wrong direction..

Dislikes: Deceit. People that don't take responsibility for their actions. Alcohol (though arguably this could be a like.)

Extra other/Likes: Has a soft spot for children. Qadir doesn't shy away from letting his hair down when he is not at work. He enjoys the nightlife and splurging on some of the finer things in life. Nightclubs aren't a major issue, as he refuses to drink and quite enjoys the lifestyle he has maintained. This all relies on him continuing to abstain from alcohol.

Qadir is still looking for his sister. Hale has since given up, but Zaina is adamant there is something he knows….
