It has been a while since I last role played and the first time in a setting like this site. At the moment I am looking for role plays that are about character development and how they deal with different circumstances. In them, I would like to explore romantic relationships including sex of a more dark nature that include power transfer, bondage and mild pain. I don't want to make however the sexual the main focus and will spend significant time on challenges facing our characters outside of their relationship. I prefer to write from a male perspective and of heterosexual pairings however I am open to suggestions, especially with secondary NPC characters.
I am not looking for extreme violent role-play however if it serves the story I won't shy away from it.
As of post length, I will write more than one paragraph and expect my writing partner to do the same. While RP is a great escape from life, life is still there. There will be days I can pen multiple replies but there could also be a week in between. I will make an effort to let you know when a reply may be a while and expect the same in return.
I live in Australia in the AEST time zone, I work full time and will try to at least post 2 to 3 times a week. If I am away or have less time I will let you know.

Some plots I have been thinking about.
Modern-day magic
A modern-day fantasy where magic has after 1000 years found its way back to humanity, at the beginning of the plot it is not yet known why magic disappeared and now is reappearing. MC has recently opened a new practice as a psychologist/therapist he does not know the people in town well and as new patients come to him with strange dreams he at first does not realise what is happening until he starts to experience the same.
YC also has dreams and experiences things that should not be possible. The things that are happening to YC however closely resemble the stories told to her by her grandmother. As the story develops YC finds out that magic lore had been passed along from generation to generation and the stories you heard a child had been true.
Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde
Not the original story but one where MC, Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde don't know each other. Mr Hyde who is a bouncer with a big heart and a Dr Jekyll all polished educated and smooth but who has a sadistic mean streak that comes out in how he treats the female protagonist. YC meets both halves of the same man and a Love triangle starts between the three.
Apollo and Daphne
Not a story about the god in this case but a self-entitled but quiet noble man's son. MC is a bookish lordling who as he explores the deep forest his father owns across a nymph, being a noble man's son MC knows how to hunt and fight but prefers to be alone and is somewhat broody. YC is a forest nymph MC comes across one day and for whom he develops an unhealthy obsession. This is as far as I have gone with this plot as I would prefer further story development be a collaboration.
