I admit, it has been a long time since I have had to write one of these.

I am feeling out a return to the online role-play hobby after an extended hiatus following the sunset of my former home. At that time, rather than starting over anew, I chose to retire from the hobby and have been away for a bit more than five years. Recently, I've felt the itch to get back out there and craft stories with others, so I am dipping my toes in and seeing how it goes.

About me: I started out dabbling in some online D&D and Shadowrun back in 2003 and eventually migrated to play-by-post RPGs in 2004, actively participating in large-scale collaborative efforts and small-scale role-plays, combat tournaments, events of all sizes, and world-building. In my past home, I was a global moderator who oversaw the site's blog (while it was active). I created a sandbox for newcomers to get a feel for our site's culture and style. Most of what I have participated in has been fantasy, but I occasionally dabble in other genres.

Outside of internet life, I am a trainer who teaches crisis communication and emergency behavioral responses for a forensic psychiatric facility. I have a BS in psych, a BA in Technical and Professional Writing, an MA in Organizational Leadership, and an MBA. I've been married for ten years.

I look forward to exploring what this place has to offer and seeing where this takes me.

Second! I bet you're wondering how to start Role Playing and where to go! I think it's pretty fun to explore the forums, and I highly recommend doing so! Most thread homes, if not all, have a pinned post at the top of them to tell you what goes there!

However, the Request Threads are pretty self explanatory; Here's a Link! There's plenty to look through, but you could also build your very own! Tell people what you're all about and get those writing partners! Take your time though; there's never any pressure! If you were looking for an open story you can just jump in straight away, you can find them in Unfinished Tales!​


Next, I've created A Sanctum Tour to help find a lot of cool places on site! There's plenty to do while waiting on replies or to give yourself a break every now and then! But, these are some of my favorites! The first shout out goes to The Sanctum Tavern! Here you can find many a thing! By the Hearth can be found there and has many wonderful discussions; my personal favorite is where everyone talks up their writing partners! Want to see some cute pets or share your own?
