Newbie looking for vampires, open to most anything non-fandom

Hey guys! I'm Lily and I'm super new to text-based roleplaying, but not to writing or roleplaying ing general.

I'm looking for RP partners who are willing to teach me a bit about how things go in addition to just creating a story with me.

Length: I write really varying lengths typically, but you can expect at least 2-3 paragraphs, generally speaking, though exceptions might occur when dialogue is heavy, etc.

Limits: I'm up for writing just about anything except extremely graphic smut/violence. I also am not excellent at writing either of those, but I will try my best if that's what our story calls for.

Grammar: I prefer partners who have a basic grasp of grammar, etc. -- typos are fine but if you can't distinguish between you're and your, you might drive me crazy.

Speed: I prefer at least weekly replies, but I understand how life can be. Just let me know if you have to disappear for a little while before you go missing on me :) I'll try to reply at least every 2-3 days, more if I can manage, but I work a lot including weekends so I can't guarantee anything. But I'll try to at least OOC message you if I know it'll be awhile.

I'm a cis woman IRL but I'm down to play men or women characters, with maybe a slight preference for playing men? I have a few character ideas but I haven't really formed anything yet since I like to kind of customize for the individual story.

IDEAS:

I'm really open for almost anything, but here are some ideas.

- Anything to do with vampires. A parallel-world/semi-real-life setting would be really cool -- 1980s or 1990s especially.
- Anthroish monster (think werewolves, or like, furries but scary?) x human romance
- Anything horrory, though I'm not quite sure how I would navigate this since again, I'm very new.
- Real life with just a hint of fantasy -- think "something unusual happens that's supernatural, but it's super uncommon"

I will not really do fandom stuff, only because I'm not involved in any fandom well enough to actually RP it decently.
