Hey, thanks for coming to my intro thread, it's nice to meet you. Be sure to drop a line and I'm sure there's something we can chat about. We already have a lot in common if you enjoy writing, which you do because you're on this website.

I'm an RPNation casualty, temporary ban for soliciting erotic content. In my opinion, it was harsh, I just told someone I dont fade to black for erotic scenes and I dont rp with people who do. LOL There goes that. I'm not too bothered by it however as it was hard to find people my own age there (34) and I notice 25 year olds feel very young now.

I enjoy writing a lot, especially about romance. I'm ok with a 1 shot romantic plot where the parties involved have a fast 1-3 day rp where they fall in love, fuck, and live happily ever after. Aw. How sweet. It's the special person where I'll write 10/90 smut:plot ratio over months, however. Most of my rps I actually finish if I engage in them. It's satisfying to conclude an end, though I'd been known to beat an rp into the dirt.

Otherwise I'm just a regular person so sometimes plays games, usually with friends, but we cycle and everyone is bad. Usually because we're drunk or high. I'm not drunk or high so much any more, especially not since I hurt my back, but that's a WIP. The back, not the drunk/high. I don't write drunk or high because I can't focus as well, so you don't need to worry about sudden character fluctuations without a reason from me.

Nonjudgmental, it takes a lot to fluff me, what I mostly look for in an rp is whether or not I think we will mesh and collaborate well. So hmu

Me too Calypso, and I'm looking forward to it being more frequent. From what I can tell, the average age seems to be late twenties so I can appreciate that (though thirties preferred! Nothing hits like talking to someone on similar experience wave lengths as you)

Ewww... RPNation... I remember that site from years ago, spent a month or two there then left, and from the sound of things it's every bit as awful now as it was then.

It's nice and cozy here. As mentioned, plenty of older folks with whom to engage in wonderful plots. Not too many people fade to black either. I hope you find this place to your liking and weave many wonderful tales.

I keep going back around Halloween and I usually find one or two good partners, but it's been hard to find a good partner, around my age, who is mature and nimble enough to write the dark, fluffy, adventurous, and help move the story a long. Nothing wrong with anime, but I had to get really picky because it started to seem like most of the people are there inspired by anime like fruits basket.... Or at least it reads that way

Honestly, I'm not as active as most people here. Work keeps me from writing as much as I want to, so I only have a handful of rps.... 3 current/active ones, and 3 on hiatus. Though at the time of writing this, the 3 active ones have slowed down a bit. Partners got busy. Which is fine by me, as I write a bit on the side. Mostly random scenes that get stuck in my head.

But yeah, I'm not a fan of anime rps myself honestly. Or fandoms. I used to do a lot of fandom stuff when I was younger. I mean, not gonna lie, anime was part of the reason I got into rp to begin with. My first character was a neko... I got burnt out on it fast. And while anime rps do exist here, a lot of times those same people are willing to do their own, original stuff, too.

I'm not sure how much of the site you've poked around, but there are no shortage of dark and/or mature stories here, rest assured.

I lost two rps on the transfer over here, one I'm a little sad about but it is what it is. It is asking a bit to have a partner move sites just for the rp. One of my partners didn't even hesitate though. Glad about that since the one with her is my favourite. I have some new people in my dms, so things are already looking up

Yes. The damn fandoms, the site is plagued with them.

I first started on harry potter and neopet lupes, but I had my hay day with anime, too, don't get me wrong. Just now days, for my own tastes, stuff that reads like its meant for capture a youngster's interest, like sudden and jarring actions coupled with disconnected dialogue. I guess it's hard to explain without an example. Especially since some anime is cool. Cant really argue with studio ghibli

Oh, nice! I'm glad to hear you're settling well then :)

When I first joined, I grabbed a few partners from were I had been before and got them to come here as well. Only one rp transferred though. Funny enough, that one happens to be one of my favorite rps. It's one of the ones on hiatus, but I know my partner still wishes to come back to it whenever life stops kicking his ass.

I do get what you mean about things meant for younger audiences. Sounds a little similar to how I feel when I see people around my age or older write characters who are 18, 19, or in their early to mid 20s.... And younger sometimes (which thankfully is not permitted here). There might be a decent writer behind those characters, and a good story, but... it's not for me.
