October is a special time in the Sanctum. Halloween is upon us and so, to get you all in the spirit of the season, we bring you our first October event for the year: Our October Writing challenge. For this month, in the spirit of classic slasher films, your prompt:
One by one, they were taken in the darkness.
What does that mean? Up to you. The prompt, as always, can be interpreted however you like, as long as your submission makes some attempt at it. There are no length limits or requirements, though we ask that you keep things reasonable. Please note that for challenges, rules regarding the age of protagonists are relaxed, so long as there is no sex or graphic violence.
And, finally returning: All participants in this challenge WILL receive a site Badge!!
Please post all entries as a thread in this forum (Link) with a unique title. The Deadline for this month is Sunday, October 24th, 2021. Please have all entries posted by that evening (EST)
