History: Derek took over the rule of the herd, from the previous ruler, Jinny Halkite. She as she got older she wished to be free for the remainder of her days. His father had been training him to take over for Jinny seems how she had no offspring of her own. Of course, he hadn't been the only one who had aimed for the title of Leader. There had been four other candidates, they each took tests to test their strength, knowledge, worth, and aptitude. Out of all of them, he scored the best, but another thing that stood out was his compassion. He was very compassionate about the people he would rule over, but he never let that compassion get in the way of punishment when it was needed. He has been the leader of the herd for almost 5 years, even though it was such a short time, he had formed a good relationship with the late leader of the Malvolia's. When Benji Naliton passed away and the new kitsune took over, things changed and he had to do his best to try and adjust.
