Who are you, how long have you been writing and what kind of things do you like to write?
Hello! I am Lydia Lovelace (nomme de plume) and I am a creative writer and roleplay enthusiast. I have been writing for over 15 years, primarily in YA fantasy. I enjoy building worlds, developing characters, and letting creative inspiration and sparks guide the story rather than planning out where things go in advance.
I recently started doing a style or roleplay where I either play a single MC or just narrate, but also roleplay an entire world of characters in a CYOA-style rpg adventure world. Based either on JRPG style or fantasy TTRPGs (you know which ones). It would resemble either a fully story-based or casual rpg campaign, but without as many stakes or chances for probability to force the story to a certain path.
How long do your replies tend to be and what is your writing schedule like?
I historically have written paragraph-by-paragraph, leaving gaps for replies, but given the nature of this, I might end up responding in multiple consecutive paragraphs at a time based on how much interaction is required to advance the narrative.
What is your tolerance level for gore? Violence?
Violence towards unnamed characters or antagonistic characters is totally acceptable, even murder and torture. If I start playing a named character who is friendly to YC, I would prefer it if there is no violence or explicit gore.
Do you write sexual content? If so, what are your kinks? Limits?
My preference is for things to be left open to the possibility of sexual content, which is the major context in which I have done this sort of roleplay. If that is not desirable, it can be skipped entirely, though romance without smut scenes is certainly fine as well with me. As far as kinks and limits, narrative and character context goes a long way to pushing the boundaries, and can be discussed to figure out what works. By design some characters may be oriented towards certain fetishes, kinks, and dispositions to allow for various kinds of play.
Do you write any fandoms?
I do not write any fandoms, I prefer my work to be original (or, at least, not borrow from existing properties, whether or not everything is 100% novel or repurposed from things I have written in the past).
Do you have any pairing or setting ideas?
I have a concept for a setting but it is flexible, depending on how casual the roleplay is, and what style we decide upon.
Do you have any detailed plots prepared?
I have many plot threads already and can come up with others in the spot if necessary. A lot of that will probably come through in workshopping though.
Do you have any characters you want to write?
I have a number of OCs I can use for this style of roleplay, but none in particular of note since I am new here.
Any additional notes you want to add?
The OneXMany idea is more of a statement of what I have done in the past, it can be a OneXOne roleplay as well (I have no preferences as to what characters YC is, but I have no experience writing smut scenes with male-presenting MCs).
